| Homestead RC Raceway is pleased to announce our bid to host the ROAR Region 4 Super Regional Fuel On Road Championship, on May 17 and 18, has been approved and sanctioned by ROAR.
This is a Super Regional Championship that is for racers from ROAR Region 4. The racers from the adjacent ROAR Regions 3 and 6 can be eligbleto attend. Please check the ROAR Event Eligibility Rule 5.11.4 to see if you qualify.
Fuel Classes will be 1/10 Scale Touring Car and 1/8 Scale Open.
Come join us at Homestead RC Raceway for a fantastic weekend. You will enjoy our new look, car friendly, high speed race track, with all the amenities.

| The entry form for the Region 4 Super Regionals is displayed on our Welcome Page. This event will be held May 16, 17, 18, on our fast and car friendly permanent facility.
Please note there is a considerable savings when you pre-enter. Entry deadline is May 8th.
Entry forms are available and entries will be taken at Homestead RC Raceway when the track is open.

| So, who's planning to run at this week's club race on Sunday, May 4th?
This will be a good time to "fine tune" for the upcoming Regional's in just 2 weeks (May 17-18).

| I was talking with DJ today. I think he will be fine tuning his cars this weekend. I think he will start to race 1/8 scale at this race.
Rumor has it that Ashton Brinson from Orlando will be visiting this weekend. He plans to break in some engines and get a feel for the for the "new look" Homestead RC Raceway.
Andrew "D" is back from college. I'm sure he is ready to show everyone how much faster he is after a year of college! LOL

| Good News! You will not need to bring a Tent or EZ-Up for the ROAR Super Regional. The new pit area will be under the giant Chalet Tent at Homestead Miami Speedway. The Chalet Tent will have ceiling fans, lighting, and possibly closed circuit tv with real time viewing of scoring.
The old pit area now will be used for parking only.

| Thanks to DJ, Rafael, Gianni, Denise etal. for your kind words on Rctech regarding the Homestead club race & general track comments.
It was great to see so many "out-of-towners" turn up and it appears most left with positive impressions.
Based on the race showings this past week-end the upcoming Super Regionals should be AWESOME!

| The track crew at Homestead RC Raceway were busy this Saturday getting ready for the upcoming Super Regional next week. They want to make sure you have a great time and are preparing the track and surrounding areas to insure you will enjoy your racing experience at Homestead RC Raceway.
They bullt a 10x20 tent for teching cars. Then they built another 10x20 tent to provide shade in the tire truing and engine tuning area. They still were not finished and they built a 10x15 tent to cover the pre pit area next to the drivers stand.
The final and biggest project of the day was to build a metal frame and shade the drivers stand. This was done without any poles obstructing the racers view of the track. I know all the racers will appreciate this improvement for a long time to come.
I want to offer a big thank you to all of the people that helped with these projects. Especially in the 95 degree heat.
*NOTE* The temperature was 95 degrees on Saturday, the long range forecast call for hot weather again next weekend. We strongly recomend that you bring an electric fan and extension chord to enhance the overhead ceiling fans to keep you comfortable and cool in the covered pit area. Also, next weekend make sure you keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water or your favorite sport drink.

| Homestead RC Raceway just gets better and better. The track crew has added another improvemnt to this racing facility. Closed circuit TV has been added to the covered pit area. Now racers will be able to view real time scoring and timing live as it happens.

| Wow! What a great Super Regional we had at Homestead RC Raceway! I want to thanks all of the Homestead RC Raceway track crew and everyone that helped plan, prepare, and execute this prestigous event. Especially, with the unusual 95 degree heat and smoke from the Everglades.
I also want to give a great big thank you to Jim Rice and David Larry who covered my back and loaned us their tech equipment.
I was also fortunate to be the Race Director and had such a great group of racers and pit people to work with. Thanks to all of you!
I will need a day or two to recharge my batteries. Then I will get you a brief race report and add over 100 pictures to the PHOTO GALLERY.
Thanks everyone, it was awesome.
