Yahoo says it's supposed to be in the 50's this weekend.

Saturday is bad for us, but Sunday would would work.

Depending on how many guys we get out, we could at least get one side of the infield done, and possibly both. Finish the other side next weekend if we need to.

Thoughts on Sunday???

4-5-6 guys won't cut it, so unless we get some more interest pretty quick, I guess we'll have to wait for another weekend.

I talked to both Little Ben and Archie this morning and we are planning on starting the field Sunday. I should have a few more guys from my team as well.

Gabe, if you want to get the word out to the Cardinals, please do so.

We'll try and shoot for getting up there at 10ish.

Anybody else??

Ten sounds good, I've put out word for additional help, waiting to here back. We have also received some of the field eq. that needs assembling. I have not heard if Chuck D. is coming with gate for fence. It's not going to all get done in one day, but it's a start.

I sent out the word to the Cardinals. If we're going to be out there all day, I'm going to be craving some food and drinks. Anyone have anything in mind for that? Concession stand? BYO?

Something tells me Chuck won't see this post. It is, after all, on the computer.

If you want the gate there, you should probably call him.

Or, send smoke signals. He probably remembers how to use those!!!

See you guys tomorrow.

Field improvements started Sun March 2. We had 5 attendees. We are planning another session March 8 & 9 @ 10am both days, weather permitting. We need more guys. I know everybody can't commit to both days, but a couple of hours on one of the days would be a great help. With limited numbers we accomplished a great deal. The outfield screens and backstop pads arrived today and could be installed. Chuck is planning to be there with the gate. Ben Robinson is planning to bring the sod cutter to reduce the manual labor factor we endured Sunday. Spread the word, we need grunts.

I should be able to be there. Do we need any tools, wheelbarrow, shovels, etc. or just grunt labor?

Unless Bill can bring some sunshine and about 25 degrees, I think it's safe to assume this weekend is off.

Talking Sunday about 52 degrees, maybe we can't do dirt work but there are other things. We have outfield screens and backstop pads to install. Chuck was planning gate work for Sunday. He will need help. There also will be a training session on the art of bench-jockeying and general rules of embellishing baseball skills.

Field work has been cancelled this weekend March 8&9. It is projected to be too cold. A warm-up is expected next week. I know St. Patty's festivities are going on next weekend. Maybe we get some things done on Sunday after everyone sobers up. Stay tuned for updates.
