| Hi
I just moved to the area a few months ago and am interested in finding a team to play for, if it's not too late in the spring. I've played in summer leagues in Madison (WI) the last five years. I am 27 and did not play college baseball, as I attended UW-Madison. The talent level in my Madison league was on par with D-III. We did use aluminum, however, so I haven't used wood bat in game situations for awhile.
My primary position is second base, committing only four errors in five years for a .980 fielding percentage. I am willing to fill whatever role in the field that might be available. Offensively, I am a singles hitter that goes opposite field more often than not. I bat right-handed, but have had teams put on an infield shift as if I were a left-handed pull hitter. I take a ton of pitches, with an excellent eye at the plate, and have consistently drawn an OBP 150-200 points above my average.
I know my limitations and play all out. No ego whatsoever. I probably best fit on a team that maybe struggled a bit last year and is looking for players that know how to play the game the right way, always have a plan for every AB, and will throw their body around on the field to make a defensive play. And who maintains a positive attitude and work ethic whether the team is winning or losing.
Thanks, Ryan
