The Planet is supposed to be like the "He Man Woman Haters Club" from "Little Rascals", but even Darla was allowed to hang out with Spanky and Alfalfa! So I figured that since you have already invited her into the club I might as well give her a warm welcome.
OAWMF, shoot me an e-mail at Unclemertog20@yahoo.com with your sizes. Once I get enough orders to make it worth while I will put in the order. I would like to start off by ordering at least 20. The more I order the cheaper they are and I could do one of two things, let them go a bit cheaper or just donate more to the league and Smitty.

Just a quick survey...what do you guys think of giving Smitty a raise for all the work he has done on this website and for the league? Also, I'm not opposed to perhaps giving the Baxters and Rob a little something something as well, if we do in fact sell some shirts!

Artie is indeed the Dr. Moroue of the Coventry Mens League. I know because I was one of his earlier experiments and I admit a failed one. He got the love of softball right, but not the ability to play it, and he got the bat technology knowledge dead on, but not my ability to use said bats. Also, performance enhansing substance technology was nowhere near at the level it is today. So I was tossed out with the crumpled beer cans and empty bottles of rogain, only to be found by Patriot Oil, dusted off, sanitized, and the rest is history. Until we meet again Artie....

Bobby, to sell advertising and so on would require that the site be upgraded to the pro-version which allows you to do just that. However this costs big money and it isn't feesible.

Bobby, It's about 300.00 to upgrade the site, but in addition to that there are a few small problems that may/may not arise from going to the Pro-Version. Me and Ian have discussed his upgrading and adding some features but then you're talking about alot more work.
I would venture to guess that Ian puts in approximately 25-30 hours a week if not more once the season starts, which in my opinion is already a part time job. He does this for no other reason than to promote the league and make it more interesting for everyone involved...and the results speak for themselves. I will help him in any way possible, and I think the shirts will help initiate generating some revenue for the league to play with and give us some breathing room.

I am all for Ian making a little money. I am being sincere. Then again, we should all do our part to subsidize teachers.....they only get paid, what $70K, work 34 weeks..I think they have a vaca next week in fact....home by 2pm...must suck. I'm not concerned with what people make for doing their weekly job, or how many weeks they work a year...I'm sure it is far more complicated than we all think it is. It's not easy to deal with children and it is even worse dealing with their whiney pendantic parents.
What I am concerened with is the overall welfare of the league itself, and nobody puts more into the league than Ian. I break his balls constantly, but when it comes down to it the success of this league is due, at least in part, to the hard work of Mr. Smith.
What I'm talking about is giving Ian the financial support he needs to put more into the website and or the league itself. Lets just take a look at the time it takes to make up the schedule for the league, then enter each and every game into the website, keep track and enter all the stats from each and every player each and every week.
In addition, how many people call the other league officials? Usually everyone just goes to Ian first and if he is not able to give you an answer he will direct you toward the other league officials. However, we usually cry to Ian first which means alot of his own personal time is spent answering our calls...and no one is more guilty then myself. I'm sure Kate must hate me by now.
Then there is Ian having to call the managers who, have and will again, fuck up the statistics and he has to get them straightened out and listen to guys piss and moan about how the stats are screwed up.
Then there are the updates and all pertinent information that he relays to all of us via the website.
It is a bitch of a job that he does and enjoys doing, but the truth is if Ian didn't do it...I really don't see anyone else stepping up and doing it. The website is invaluable to us all and not only does it provide hours of entertainment for us all, but it provides us with all the information that we need to keep our teams informed.
I think we need to reward his hard work and suport our league for our own benefit, because the support we give is only benefitting us all.
