Hi all. Baseball here in the heavens is quite magical, indeed. Mickey Mantle still plays an amazing outfield and Whitey Ford is just as crafty on the mound now as he was then (All-After World Strikeout King 7 years running). After reading the recent headlines on your mainpage, I would simply wish to clarify something. The great and venerable Yankee Stadium, to be no more after the 2008 season, was not the house that I built. One quickly forgets the stadium was nearly completely demolished and rebuilt for 2 years shortly after the 1973 season. During these times, my great Bronx Bombers played home games with the friendly and inviting Metropolitans club, a still fledgling team then, at their home at Shea Stadium. This new home featured fences to scoff at, as most of my home runs were porched over 400 feet just to leave the park at the true Yankee stadium. The original "Cathedral of Champions" was the only place I call home. So, as the chapter closes on this miraculous place of baseball legend, please do not confuse this little league field as the House that Ruth built. Had I played there, Hammerin' Freaking Hank wouldn't have touched my records. Take care great Yankee fans, and remind yourselves, Heroes are remembered, but legends never die.

With love, the Sultan of Swat...the Colossus of Clout...Herman the Great...

George Herman "Babe" Ruth, Jr.

P.S. Let's Go Mets!
