| just wanna let you pitchers know to be very careful pitching to artie. i had to pitch cause rob raymond was hurt the score was 28 to 6 and he shots middle then he says to me if your worried about getting hit you shouldnt pitch,rather than saying sorry hodde didnt mean it. so beware of classic artie

| I agree that anyone who is afraid of gettin beaned should have pitching be the last position on your list of positions you'd like to play. However in the unlikely event an errant hit finds its way towards the pitcher I've always felt you should apologize or say nothing. But don't be a cocky prick. And, if you did it on purpose, you shouldn't be allowed to play softball. You probably shouldn't be allowed out of your home because you are a dick licker.

| Hodde do you think your teams so bad other teams should make outs ? Plain and simple I was trying to get a hit . You were half in the bag cuz we all know you have pre game pops . Your team hit more balls up the middle than we did so are you a dirty team ? I pulled an outside pitch plain and simple . He chirped something that's when I said don't pitch . Then he comes up to bat and says hey come pitch to me so I can shoot middle . So I pitched to him and finished the game. His teamate Rob Raymond even told him he didn't do it on purpose!!

| I can vouch for Hodde..he aint scared. Still, he wouldnt want someone purposefully shooting the middle. Someone recently brought up a point for consideration: We play with a middle guy..in part to disuade hitters from hitting up the middle thus protecting the pitcher. We may consider mandating the middle guy plays on the dirt...that is he isnt allowed to go to short left..etc. MI plays infield. If you take away short right or short left..the middle is the place to go. I think RH is implying the bald bastard is up to no good. Artie is Coventry Softball's Snidely Whiplash

| Don't swing at an outside pitch with less than 2 strikes in a 20 run game unless you know how to take it the other way. If it was an accident, which I believe it was because despite his .600 average of 2007 and recent power surge Artie has no swing control, then apologize.
However you take the risk by standing on the mound and accidents happen even from hitters that can control their swing so you have to take that chance no matter what.

Artie is a dickhead that should say sorry even if he doesnt mean it.
Hodde, you need to get used to people shooting box even if its on purpose. It's a part of the game and while it is dickheaded on more than one occasion i have done it on purpose, but only when Rob Raymond was pitching so it doesnt really count.

| Oh good Christ...the middle is fair game and it truly is part of the game to shoot the middle, especially when you aren't hitting so well. Of course there are exceptions...like when you are playing a team who are, for all intensive purposes...defenseless.
We pulled our over the middle guy out this weekend to try to stop Moulton from hammering the outfield. They immediately started hitting the middle of the field, which is what we wanted. They weren't doing it maliciously, they were doing it because the middle was wide open. They got a bunch of hits by doing so. You take what the other team gives you.
Shooting the middle to intentionally hurt the other pitcher is one thing...hitting the middle because it is open is another thing entirely.

| Yes Ant. Guys have families and jobs and you are not playing for a World Series ring here. Saying sorry shows that you are not trying to take the guy out even if you are trying to hit middle because it is open.

| Mert you make a great point ! 2 strikes no HRs , 2nd base is taking the 4 hole , OM is almost in short right . Wheres the biggest hole ? The middle ! I wasnt trying to hit Hodde I was trying to get a hit through the huge hole up the middle . Its part of the game and i don't think it was wrong . Who wants to make an out ever ? Any chance I would say sorry went out the window when he started chirpping and giving me the finger . just a little more info I swung down on the ball and it was at his feet not his head .

| Wow i have officailly heard it all. you know its sad when artie is the cause of such a discussion. Sorry to say that sunday softball is no longer in coventry. This is one of the more competitive leagues in the state with great players scattered all throughout the league. Stuff is going to happen. I know i get a little hot when i get pepperd a few times but what are you going to do.I dont think guys are trying to hurt anyone.

| alright..Artie is in the office..he often stops by after rain outs or 0-2 weekend tournaments... making me write shit that I dont want to write...like..Artie has 7 homers! He made only three outs this past sunday in 10 ABs! Artie is GOD. Kate loves Artie...

| I'm sure Artie would not shoot the middle maliciously. I'll be honest when I hit the middle it's because I'm in a freakin slump and I'm just trying to hit it up the middle. I try to miss the pitcher but most of the time I hit the middle of the field naturally. Not trying to be a dick it just happens. I don't have great bat control and for some reason my swing is generally hard to right center. Somtimes I top the ball and it goes at the pitchers feet, sometimes it goes deep...just happens.
Lately I couldn't hit a fucking beach ball if you rolled it to me.
