| School's out and I have some time in the middle of the day, so here's this season's first edition of Beav's Blog.
The first set of standings has been added, and the good news is if the season ended today, the Bumpkinz would have the eighth and final playoff spot.
I find it surprising that the defending B-league champs are in last place. Their losses have been against Harry's Pizza and the Red Army, including an absolute slaughter at the hands of Harry's Pizza of 28-2. This shows that there is a significant difference in the quality of play between the A-league and B-league. It's somewhat comforting to know that we're not the only ones who are struggling. Plus, I think we've turned a corner. Even in the games we lost, we've been close in at least one of the games. That certainly shows that we're in the right league.

| Beav, I think that the Bumpkinz are in the right league for sure. Harry's Pizza is a solid team, but one that the Bumpkinz can beat as well. The Big Chiefs won last year simply because our bats got cold. Their defense is nothing compared to ours and that's why it's possible for them to get slaughtered, while the Bumpkinz should be keeping the games close with a chance of winning every night.

| Beav, are the B league standings correct or is that from last season? I was just wondering why they've played twice as many games as the A league.
