| We will be playing the MCFFU Championship format. That format is 3 games of pool play on Saturday. The top 6 teams advance to play on Sunday in a single elimination Championship bracket. The top two teams get a bye for Sunday. There will be a consolation bracket for the teams outside of the top 6. Sundays bracket is determined first by Won - Loss record, then Point differential, then if needed points scored.
There are 9 teams in the 9-Man division. There are two pools, a 4 team pool and a 5 team pool. The pools are set this way so that the teams can play the 3 game pool play. However, because of the odd pool of 5 teams one team receives a bye. The Packers received the bye based on their finish in the USFTL Nationals. The bye for the Packers means that they will be 1 – 0 to start the tourney with two games to play. Their point differential will be determined by the two games they play.
If you feel your 3 opponents are too much of a challenge and your team is looking to avoid public humiliation within the flag football community please advise the MCFFU staff and we will gladly move your candy ass to the screen division playing over on the softball fields.
