Congratulations to the YOUNG GUNZ on winning the first official STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. They received $500 CASH, a FREE bid to the Willimantic Tourney, a Free bid to any future GCFFA tourney, Sponser trophey, and STATE CHAMP Tee's. Also the YOUNG GUNZ defeated NORTH DIVISION CHAMPION TEAM SIGNATURE on Saturday 7-6 to take home the $500 crossover prize!
Although we didn't give out individual awards for this event, we would like to recognize a few players for outstanding play in leading the GUNZ to the TITLE. First, Tony M. had 7 picks on the weekend and also scored the game winning TD in the final second in Saturdays CASH game. Bam, you played the best weekend of football at QB that I can recall from you or very few others. With that said, he owes it all to the big nasty's up front and a great receiving core. Defensively, the entire team was dominate, led by COACH/CAPTAIN Todd Hill, hands down the best defensive player from sideline to sideline in CT.
