| We open up in Staples at Pine Grove Park 1:30pm on Saturday.
Be there by 12:15 and be ready to play baseball. The Lumberbats are going to be fired up. We have to get back on track and decide if playing and winning baseball games is important.

| Not a big deal but I think its kind've odd that a team with home field advantage would start out on the road the first game. Can someone explain this one to me.

| Because round 1 is best of three, the higher seed can then clinch at home.

| I agree Niner, and discussed my point at the L&P meeting last year. But the reason is, that the 1st round is a best of 3 and the lower seed "deserves" to have at least 1 home game and the decision was to give the 1st game to them. Last year we were slated to go to Nevis for the 1st one but they forfeited. So, we need to go to Pine Grove and take care of business on Saturday.

| I do agree the lower seed deserves to have a home game (obviously if its best of 3, 5, 7). Usually that would be after the higher seed has a home game first though. I can't think of one sport in which a higher seed opens up on the road, unless its something like the NCAA tourney in which neither team has the home court. I do give LAL a lot better chance of beating Wolf Lake now. Again its not a big deal to me, it just doesn't make any sense and I feel like arguing :D.

| If you win enough games during the year, your reward should be to play at home. The lower seed shouldn't even have one playoff game.

| Don't mean to intrude on your guys board, but I have to disagree with you Hamms, I've never heard of a playoff that has a series between teams where the better seed gets all the games at home.

| Hey Buddy, NCAA Super Regionals - Best of 3 series.... ALL GAMES ARE PLAYED AT HIGHER SEED. The lower seed gets to be the "home team" the first game, but ALL games are played at the higher seed's home field. Sounds pretty logical to me. I don't care about going to Pine Grove Park though, see you Saturday.

| Hey Tsunami, tell Austen that we have to beat the Lumberbats twice and then get either first or second in regions. That's how you get to state.
And yeah, lets just play the game and win, no worries over where it is and what order it is where you play.
Yeh, yeh, where's Petah?

| Would you need to play two games on Sunday to break a 1 - 1 tie. In that case I think it may make sense. Would you like to play in Miday Saturday, then back at Staples on Sunday and if need be back in Miday Sunday afternoon. This would make for a long weekend of driving. Maybe I am completley wrong though. Good luck Boys. Can't make the games this weekend.

| Niner, The only answer as to why it is set up that way is that the league decided that the higher seeds would want to be able to win the series on their home field.
Whether people agree with that or not doesn't matter but that is why it is what it is. It was asked at the meeting how playoffs should be and everyone said to keep it the same or said nothing at all, pretty typical.

| home field advantage could just be decided by a sheetrock hanging contest. First team to finish 3 apartment units wins. Each team can draft one ringer (Jim Frith, duh).
Then we will turn 2 "the hard way".

| The logical answer the question that no one is asking is no. The question is "are we going to let something as stupid as playing in staples and then destroying their city ruin our reputation as the rowdiest and/or best gd ball club in the history of menagha?" According to a great philosopher "Love is no potato......" think about it at work boys.

I don't see how the difference of going there Saturday or Sunday matters. You are still driving the same mileage.

WL and LAL are playing in Brainerd next Saturday. I guess there was a lot of chirping going on by the Lightning last week as well as yesterday so it should make for a heated ballgame on Sat.
