| After top eight it does not matter because I don't think anyone else can win it....I don't even think my own club (SLP) can make it as we are nearly in the midst of a "black sox scandel".
Although if we turn it around and play like Notten, Moraaaan and DoaneDone (the best self proclaimed players in recreational ball history)then we could make some noise as a veteran club whose average age is 32 with 11 guys 33-40.
At any rate here is my top "8" with commentsless.
1) Tonka.....1/1 favorites to walk right through the state tourney....only weakness is starting pitching but if you can put up double digits a game who needs pitching with wood bats.
2) Bloomington Dogs. Too many way solid athletes, four very good arms, speed, nasty batting order, and solid defense. Far and away the second best team in the state.
3) Commanding Edge. Small ball, defense, speed, plays, team unit, management, game management and a manager who can hit jizzzacks! Perhaps the best all around club.
4) Hopkins. DEFENSE, cocky, too young to know better and too good to want to accept being beat. Plus play in the toughest league in the state.
5)Rosetown.....forsure #5 if SCHLUNDT plays for them, if not then just number five because they are decent and use to have one of the best batting orders in state history about a decade back.....and normally they seem to find it in them to carry on the A's tradition of drinking a ton of beers after games.
6) Lyons Pub. I pitched against them for three innings so I saw there line up. They beat Park, they beat Tonka. Enough said. I don't think they are better then the five teams above them but right in the mix.
7)Angles....I don't want to say much because me and there catcher may get fired up. That is a long story but there puke lefty threw behind our guy after a called homeplate timeout and almost hit the umpire as he came out from behind calling time....lets just say words were exchanged.....they are a good club.
8)Wesley....they are not a one year championship wonder by any means and have enough of every thing to beat anyone on any given day.
...............
19) St. Louis Park 20) Ryan Rotten 21) Mike Moraaan 22) Ben Donediddly 23) Keelan Conley 24) David Schlundt

| Conley. I like what you had to say about some of the teams. How do you have the Bulldogs at #2? The are 9-6 in the Riverview? I have not seem them play this year but how do you lose 6 league games and be the 2nd team in state? If they are that good SLP better get it going because it looks like a #3 #4 match-up again in the playoffs to decide state. Here are my comments from your rankings and what ive seen and heard this year.
#1 Minnetonka - We all know how good this team is and are of course the favorites. When you have as many studs, and ex pro ballers they better run the table or its a dissapointment. How many guys are actually from Minnetonka? #2 Bulldogs - cant say i agree with a 4 place league record. Again havnt seen or heard much but from what you say maybe they have yet to peak! #3 Commanding Edge - Agree with what you say. Always reloading college club with solid pitching. Could have upset Mntka in the 2nd championship game in 07. Speed kills.. #4 Hopkins - Was on the verge in 07. 2 stud hitters that im sure Minnetonka will soon be recruiting in a border war. The addition of RHP from Tri-City Mcdonald makes them a key contender. Look for them to go far in state as the Riverview #2 seed. #5 Rosetown - In my opinion always the 2nd best hitting club in class A. With the addition of Ben Fleetham mvoing on from Wesley Homes makes them scary. Remember Fleetham beat Mntka single handedly in 05, 06. Mntka lets hope your in different brackets. #6 Lyons Pub - Ran away with competetive Park National league title. As you said beat tonka and Park. Solid 1-4 pitching and above avg line-up. Still have to get through playoffs which they were upset in last season. #7 Angels - Like Park, older veterans who have been around and know how to win. Nothing special in the pitching dept, but have one of the better line-ups and can score in bunches. #8 Wesley - Having a down year with Fleetham moving on, and I hear Carlson has been out for the season. Blanck has returned to make them legit. Have been the top 3 in state over the last 3 seasons so you cant sleep on them.

| Hopkins has not locked up the #2 seed in the Riverview. If they lose one of their final two games they will be the #3 seed and St. Louis Park will be the #2 seed.
Comment on the Dogs, they picked up a boat load of pitching in mid-June. They are tough as all get out, not sure I'd rank them #2, but in the top 10 for sure. Where is Stillwater, Stockmen's, or Green Mill?

| Stillwater is 5-7-1 in league play. They are missing a couple huge bats.

| Hopkins won last night 8-0.
If they beat a tough Bulldog team from their suspended game this Saturday, they will lock up the #2 slot.

| Yeah, the Bulldogs are playing well, but we'd love to be ranked low so teams will throw their #3 or #4 against us!! That'd be great!

| Ready to start the Berries v. Dogs battle tonight. Should be a great series. However, berries will finally have our full line up, besides our veteran Adams, at age 28, who broke his hand punching a fence post... guess some of us are cocky, young and too good to care about our chances against hardened steal.
