| Haha..The brewers cant beat the cubs? really, the brewers cant but the below .500 d backs can, and the astors can but the sergeing brewers cant. if anyone needs to get real cubs fan its you. You need to worry my friend. Ur team cant string together wins on the road. Last time i checked the brewers just took 4 from my cardinals, on the road. If the cards cant win the divison and im not sure they cant, then go beer makers!!!

| cubs, cards, or brewers fan it dont matter we all should be rooting for someone to keep the d-backs out of playoffs. With Webb and Haren going twice each in a series, not good.

| Every team goes through it's skids. No matter who it is. The Cubs are playing tremendous at home now and all season. The middle of the lineup is really struggling right now but you know that won't last. Look at the bottom of the order for the Cubbies and look how well they have produced. When the top of the lineup picks it back up I believe the Cubs will be fine. I'm not gonna get on here and talk a bunch of smack cause noone knows what can happen between now and Oct 1st. Kevin, you sound a bit bitter what's up man?? You are usually level headed. Do I hear some sour grapes due to game results this week? Fact is, the Cubs have one of the best starting pitching rotations in all of baseball. Not even counting Lily who has been a lot better lately, between Zambrano, Harden and Dempster they have been spectacular. I am not worried about the lack of offense lately, that will come back around. I am not worried about the rotation. What I am worried about the bullpen in a bad way. Marmol looks like he is either scared to throw a fastball or he is hurt and not saying anything. Wood is on the DL with a damn blister and Howry and Cotts are as shaky as it gets. I just hope that in tight games, they can rely on someone so the starters aren't gettting burnt out or overworked in the late innings. This should be a fantastic 3 team race in the second half of the season. I am excited to watch it unfold but the smack talk is way too premature. A true Cub fan knows to keep his lips sealed until the cat is in the bag! I love my Cubs, I am as excited about this year as I have been in a really, really long time, but I will save my smack talk until October if warranted, I have learned my lesson the hard way one to many times. Good luck to those playing tourneys this weekend!

| By the way, Cub fans should be worried? Why? I'm not. We haven't been swept in a four game set all year. Matter of fact we haven't lost 4 games in a row all season long so far. Right now we are in first place...why are we worried? I will worry when we get knocked out of first and are behind with a couple of weeks to go. Until then I am happy with the results so far this season! Do we need to improve in some areas? Of course we do, what team in baseball doesn't? Show me a perfect team and we might as well just stop the season now and declare them the World Series Champs now. Fact is, we are in first place right now, our starting pitching is looking fantastic, I have no doubt that the bats will wake up like they did in the first half and road records will hopefully improve and for once I get to be an optimist when it comes to Cubs baseball. Why would I sit here and worry about that??? If anyone should be worrying it should be the fans of a team that has been playing way beyond their means all season that sits up every night watching Sports Center wondering when the majic carpet ride will end. One that is not going out and making big deals to show that they are serious about sticking in this race. One who's starting rotation just might not hack it in the long run when arms start to get tierd towards the fall....but that's just me.

| Actually, the Cubs lost four in a row the day that the White Sox completed their SWEEP of them.
I still have Crosstown hopes though Chicago fans.

| Actually Tyson, look at the schedule... The Cubs lost one game to another AL team and then lost three in a row to the Sox...that equals four games lost in a row. Simple math bro.

| They are right, we lost one to Balitimore then got swept by the Sox. But, I think that if we have to look that hard to see that we are still looking alright.

| Very nice game last nite! Riddle me this Batman....why is Bob Howry even allowed inside the ballpark?? I would not call on him to remove gum from my shorts if I sat in it at the bleachers at Wrigley. He should have one job and one job only. Just like Santa Claus he should only work one night a year and that would be to throw BP to the HR Derby contestants. Long Ball Bob with his 16 minute pitch ritual. Geez I'm telling you last night I put a lasagna in the oven the exact time he threw his first pitch to Russell Branyan and the timer went off about the same time the ball sailed over the wall to tie it up. And of course he had that dumb freakin look on his face too! Night of the Living Dead 12 starring Bob Howry with that stupid zombie look on his face. Sorry, as you can tell I really don't care to much for Bob Howry. Anyways..WAY TO GO CARLOS MARMOL! See what happens when you mix FASTBALL with a slider! That's the old Carlos back. But I will say that it's 1 out of 4 so far, we really have to keep it up. Someone once told me something about carts and horses and chickens...hell I can't remember! GO CUBBIES!
