| I love the vibe I feel right now from CT flag football. It reminds me of how the gators were formed. We were put together for the sole purpose of winning a national championship... we did that. Now I see a whole new flock of ballers and I say f*** it . Lets put together a bomb squad...we can have our teams during the season... when it comes to $$$$$ it's only the best...Practice and dedication from players and coaches... No disrespect to anybody out there but let me hand pick an offence and the points will be on the board...3 big nastys who just want to fight and a tightend that can block and keep the line backers honest.... a running back willing to do what ever... as far as wide outs are concerned I know we have the guys to take the top off the coverage ( I'm laughing at the thought of throwing short and intermediate routes to rocket) ... we can put some monsters on the D line so these cats have no time to throw... and if he wants to scramble I'm sure there is a linebacker in CT that can track him down...as far as corners go I now we can find the guys to lock it down...I can see you guys want to represent, so lets do it. Lets go smack these B****** in the mouth!

| i agree wth u 110% Rich. im sure im not the only one that is sck of playin the same teams day in and day out, and for wat bragging rites? Regardless of wat ppl think i say F that. Now that these websites are getting popular there has been alot of talk that when you play CT u mite as wll put a mark in the WIN column. I am so convinced that we have so many athletes, and if those athletes come together and take advice from eachother EVERYONE can develope their game and better yet trust eachother, so when we go out of state we have U-N-I-T-Y lol and the confidence to drive 8 hours away from home and smash the so called top teams in the country.

| I'm glad to see everyone is excited about the idea of putting CT's best on the field to take home some hardware and $$$CASH$$$. There is alot of football out there and the websites have allowed us to see what is available. One thing to realize is that the 9-man game isn't run by the USFTL or the AFTFL anymore, no more heres your trophy and T-shirt have a nice day! There are some big CASH PRIZES to be won and some of them are right here. We gave away $1500 plus an Orlando bid in March and handed it to an out of state team. It needs to be a serious commitment if it is to succeed. We, the CHARGERS were formed with this in mind and have had some success so far but need more consistency in our roster to make the next level. If people are serious about this let me know and I will do everything possible to get us in every evnt that matters. Organization, contacts, sponsors, uniforms, travel, practices, whatever!

| I think this would be very sucessfull if there is a Coach, or maybe 2 of them. Connecticut ___?
Maybe put up a few Team names and then ppl vote on the best suited for CT?Any suggestions?

| I have been real quiet on the board but I do like the thought of that, rich...let's get that moola!!! And we, in CT are so full of heart and we all look after one another out of state...with that said I think Connecticut Pride should b the name...a pride is a pack of lions..one kills, but everybody eats!!!!

| To build a team strictly for tournament play poses a lot of challenges. Most of the ELITE teams in flag football are built in one of two ways.
First are teams that are born out of a league, become successful in that league, play local tournaments, win locally, begin to travel regionally and move on from their. These teams rely on a FAMILY attitude with deep ties to one another. In brief they are battle tested and resilient.
ie: GATORS, CANNONEERS, CICCONES, SILVERBACKS PACKERS etc.
The second blueprint for a team is more along the lines of what we are talking about and that is, basically, an ALL-STAR TEAM. These teams usually consist of the best players at each position available in an area. These teams rely on individual ability over team unity. With enough practice or games there has been success stories but often becomes a revolving door of "hired" guns.
ie: OMNI FITNESS, REAL DEAL, ISP BULLS
The one common thread that I have seen throughout the successful teams on both ends is that they have a business-like structure. Starting with a GM figure(usually a non player), this person handles all the details and organization as well as aides the coach or coaches. Secondly, a COACH or COACHES(may or may not play), are responsible for running practices, game plans, and game day decisions as well as aiding the GM. Third would be the on field CAPTAINS, their roles are obvious and there voices are unquestioned on the field. Lastly, dedicated and committed players who are willing to check their egos at the door.
Basically, I think if this is going to happen, and people are going to commit their time, energy, and money, than it should be done right from the ground up.
Sorry if this post was a bit long winded but the whole idea of this has been on my mind for 3 years now and i'm glad the website is moving it along.

| There is so much talent in our league that we don't even have to limit it to 1 team. Just an idea but even bringing a couple CT teams to some tourney's can really show ppl that we are not fu*king around up here and we can ball with anyone around. Just a thought.

| Shit fellas can't have a party with out SWIN, you know i like to take to other teams out of Ct.I think it should be called Reppin CT. Because we all do when we go out of town. I think i could bring out the best in me. LB wasn't my style. Bangging on the line is! I been in the back to long. Time to bring out the old swin like i know i can!
