Author TOPIC: Anyone looking to schedule a playoff tune-up?

My former team from Madison, Wisconsin is driving up the weekend of August 9-10 to play some games. I've already got a double header scheduled for them on Saturday the 9th, but I would like to get them another game on Sunday the 10th. Preferrably in the early afternoon. They're on board with sharing any field or umpire costs.

Since this is my first year playing in the MBA, I'm not entirely sure how the playoff schedule works, but I've heard from a few folks that some teams are looking to keep fresh for the playoffs by adding a few non-league or exhibition games to their schedules. Just to get guys some work between playoff series...

The Madison team (the Rockers) should be fairly competitive, even if a few of them are relatively new to the wood bats. Several guys play club baseball at UW-Madison (which has no varsity baseball program) and have played in the NCBA World Series. So, they should at least put up a fight.

So, if anyone is looking to play some more baseball, let me know. Non-playoff teams, too. I didn't mean to discriminate. I'm just trying to get the attention of those teams that haven't yet parted ways for the summer. If your team isn't interested, but you know of someone who is (whether it be Class A, B, or C), let me know who to get in touch with.

Thanks,
Ryan Meehan
