First, lets start with this All star team conversation and how all the NEFFA teams are not all star teams.

FACTS:
The talk on here about an all star team has been just that so far, talk. As for RI, there is only one team that I know of that is comprised of only their home grown players, CICCONNES. Isn't OUTKAST actually the OUTKAST WARRIORS, a compilation of players as well as a QB for Hire AC. The UNDERTAKER team that came here and took the cash in March was as much of an all star team as I have ever seen, with players from the BACKS, UNDERTAKERS and of course AC. And correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the SILVERBACKS built with players from 3 different teams including one from New Hampshire?

OK, so lets be real. All these teams are really the same, only difference is you guys are a few years into your mergers or all star built teams, and it is in the infant stages over here. Enough said.

RI dominance??

FACTS:
Again, CICCONNES gets the nod here as they are the only team that has appeared in CT year in and year out for as long as I know. Big ups to them as they have definetly gotten the better of us over the long haul. As for the very recent past, the SILVERBACKS came to Meriden last year and beat the RAVENS in a tournament with NO GATORS, STEELERS or YOUNG GUNZ. CICCONES and OUTKAST came that summer to HARTFORD and suffered losses to the RAVENS(over CICCONES) and STEELERS(both teams). Again, NO GATORS or YOUNG GUNZ. This March, the UNDERTAKERS won the chip but I will refer you to my first FACT on this one. As for the NEFFA cash showdown this summer, The STEELERS lost to the BACKS and beat the NEFFA ALL STARS. The CHARGERS beat OUTKAST and lost on a last second hail mary and kick to CICCONES.

Bottom line, if thats dominance, what are you gonna call it when we dismantle these RI powerhouses in the future as the teams from CT have gotten better exponentially in the last year and you haven't even seen GATORS yet???? Enough Said!!

National presence?
FACTS: Although I've seen alot of 8-man hardware over there in RI, this is a 9-man site and a 9-man state. So with that said, I give you the GATORS, 2002 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS(9-MAN). Enough Said!!!

FACT:
Somebody, anybody, please contact us at the GCFFA if you want to make this happen for real!! We are ready willing and able to get this show going.

P.S. if you want roster control for this Border War, we will be more than happy to accommodate. Enough Said!!!

This seems to a response to an earlier post. I'm just trying to be neutral and state real facts. Again i don't like it, but its true. I just don't see how all-stars from one state holding there own against regular teams from another state proves anything. There have been CT teams that had success before. i.e Gators, Steelers and Park City.

Fact: aren't the Undertakers a Silverbacks b-squad (8-man team) anyway? And that final four had 4 out of state TEAMS in it. Won by Silverbacks b-squad.

Fact: the Ravens team that beat Ciccones had alot of new faces on it (not just Ravens) and the Steelers team that won it all was during there afore-mentioned dominance stage.

Fact: just because a team is comprised of two or three prior teams does not make it an all-star team it just makes them a new team. Still same roster in state or out of state.

Fact: NEFFA allstars was never considered an elite team and what day was the Charger victory? Saturday.

Fact: Silverbacks won though, who cares who attended. Weren't the Ravens a decent team? Was it really an all-star team?

Fact: not all match-ups took place in CT tournaments. Prior to this year not many out of state teams travelled to CT period, which limited the inter-state competition. Only Ciccones and they won quite a few times.

Fact: Ciccones won many CT tournaments over Gators during the afore-mentioned Gator dominance.

Fact: besides many head to head victories, RI teams attended many more national tournaments and have a few national titles to show.

Fact: how is RI football more evolved? Park City and Gators were already travelling to big tournaments before NEFFA even existed.

A run at a national title is one thing, but to comprise a team strictly for the reason of being competetive with RI teams is useless. It will only dilute CT teams.

Again, how is CT on the rise? What teams have had any real success out of state. Semi-finals? Finals? Forget championships. Oops, Gators won a big 8-man tournament a little over a year ago and haven't attended anything since.

YoungGunz keep rollin'. Steelers get back to Steeler ball (where's Mike). Gators take it to the road again. Chargers??? We'll be alright, but again let's keep it in perspective, RI is just more committed to flag football right now. You can't alter facts just because you write them in a post. What is, is. Respect honesty, bullshiting won't make CT football any better.

Pump your breaks with that Ciccones having many wins vs Gators.. they have beaten us 2 out 3 times and every game was decided by some last second BS (from both sides)
