| So, with all these games that still need to get played and with cramming in the playoff series, is there any real reason we can't play on Monday or Friday nights?
I know Mondays was an issue because the Legion was closed on Mondays, but it shouldnt matter at this point since it's just plain closed now.
I doubt the concession stand people would care about the extra nights because it's more money for them and with other leagues wrapping up, umpires are looking for work.
Thoughts???

| Digging a little deeper into this, with the parity that exists in the league this year, I think pretty much every team has proven that anybody can beat anybody on any given day, every game turns into a "game of importance".
Hopefully, we can disuss this in a civil manner without anyone getting pissed off, but looking at the games that are left, this is how it stacks up. Look at the top 5 teams (that's all the farther I went, I got tired).
RED SOX- Johnny's, Budweiser, Bulls, Cardinals and 3 with the A's
JOHNNYs- Red Sox, Curleys, Pirates, Bulls and 2 with Budweiser
A's- Bulls, Budweiser, 2 with Curleys and 3 with the Red Sox
CURLEYS- Johnny's, Bud, Sox, 2 with the A's and 2 with the Cards
BUDWEISER- A's, Red Sox, Curleys, Pirates, and 2 with Johnnys.
Looking at what's left to be played, I think every one of those games are important games in the standings. For example, my team could easily lose every single one of those games and a team like the Bulls has the ability to win every single one of their remaining games. Suddenly, we're tied in the standings.
Same goes for any other team in the league and the standings at the end of the season could look completely different than they do today.
I think it's especially important to get all these games played and do everything we can to play them, even if it means adding saturday or sunday time slots or playing on mondays or fridays, especially with next season up in the air like it is.
Everyone wanted parity in the league and we have it. Granted I'm sure nobody in the league will win out or lose out the rest of the season but that makes it even more important to play it out.

| I'm going to withhold comment until I see who the Pirates have left to play.
Seriously though- I think it would be hard to schedule 2 teams on either of those days without one of them, at least, playing 3 days in a row. Personally I'm OK with that, I'm not sure that everyone else wants 3 straight days. We have traditionally started playoffs right after labor day. Do we need to start then? Stretching out the season may be one way to get in all the games. But thats easy for me to say, I'm not the one taking care of the field.
