I got the Team Captains information before they left the field. I spoke with the team captain on Sunday. The pitcher is fine. They kept him overnight and he was released in the morning. Everything behind the eye that is attached to the brain is fine. No damage. He did break all the bones around the eye and nose. He does have a detached retina. He has lost his eye sight for now. they are going to do surgery to re-attach the retina and hopefully his eye sight will come back.

Thanks for the update Tony, I was gonna ask if anyone has heard anything about his condition... Hopefully he makes a full recovery and is able to live his life as he was prior to that unfortunate situation...
