| We are playing like we have just started playing ball. We can't catch, we can't throw, we can't turn double plays when we have the chance, we make horrible base running plays, we lob the ball in from the outfield to be cool, we give up third base line with two outs, we can't ever hit the ball on the ground through the vacated holes, we never have the same team, we drink too much, we don't hit enough as a team, we don't practice hitting against the five man, we don't practice infield and outfield, we don't practice playing the five man so we look uncomfortable when we do, we don't make adjustments at the plate from at bat to at bat, we don't go the plate with an idea of the situation and what we are going to try to accomplish, we don't show up for games on time, we don't come ready to play cause we think we can go through the motions and win on talent alone, and thats just for starters. We look good and we drink good and thats about it! We have flashes of brilliance when we get mad enough. The thing I hate the most is when someone on our own team says we are dead and we need to wake up. You can't force enthusiasm, it has to be brought to the field with you if you care at all about playing this game. When comments like that are made it sends a negative not a positive and just makes things harder and then people press. Go play the game like you give a crap, be responsible for your own mindset and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. If you can't have a couple beers in between games and perform at your best level then don't drink in between games. If you are not comfortable hitting against the five man thaen practice, ask somebody who does understand, move up in the box, use the whole field, be patient. It aint that fucking hard!!! Above all, just come to play every time!!

| before I put in my opinion there are a lot of very good things compared to most teams I've played with.
no excuses about missing guys, very limited getting on each other when we're struggling and I haven't seen anyone mailing it in when we're down. guys play the game hard but play it right.
The chemistry is fine, the talent is fine and we'll get there as long as everyone comes out ready to bust their ass.
some specific things that have been noticable when we struggle offensively is the number of flyballs. I've played with some older guys (yeah even older than me) and when they took bp they marked out their spots on the infield & worked specifically on hitting balls down and hard through them. They were not happy with any ball hit in the air.
the other thing they really worked on v. the 5-man was going to the lines. trying to hit gaps results in flyballs. cut down the swing and go to the other side.
I was told that I had to get 2-3 swings that I could count on and go to when I was struggling or when a defense or situation called for changing things up.
the whole point, when there are limited or no HR's to hit was to get on base the easiest and most consistent way possible.
don't want this to be interpreted as me coaching, I'm takin Jimmy to the park right now to hit a couple hundred balls of the tee.
see you fuckers in Truckee :)

| it's hard to blame losing on not having all your guys when you look around and everyone is on this team for reason. I believe strongly that you can never have to much practice! we have practiced once maybe twice in the last 4 months. 4 swings in league no matter how many nights you play doesn't equal one round of bp. You can take a thousand ground balls on turf, and it won't make you a better fielder. I agree with kid, we need to go to the plate with an idea of what you want to do in that situation, if you get to two strikes, go to your strength, no one can tell you what your strength is, you have to know what it is and go to it when your struggling, or down in a count. Use your head, i'm sure you have heard that this game 90% mental more than once. Bottom line is how bad do you want win and achieve your goals, and what are you willing to sacrifice, for that to happen. that's a question I ask myself repeatedly. I don't think has anything to do with talent, I'll put our team on paper with anyones, but that doesn't mean we don't have to go out and play 110%. We know less than three weeks until lancaster, I think hitting one to two times a week will go along way. That being sad, I'm always available to hit, or even hit ground balls or whatever, you all have my number. White Out!

| We had a nice win last night against a hot team that wanted us BAD. We had smart, clutch at-bats and played good defense. If we play with swagger and confidence we are tough as fuck. Let's not overthink this too much. Truckee will be a good warm-up. We will get a ton of at-bats and defense on dirt, the way God intended!
