| The following rule changes were discussed at the first league meeting,
Game Time: Teams have requested longer games. Last spring we had 24 minute halves, with a 2 minute warning in both halves and NFL stoppage in the second half.
Considering 28 minute halves with NFL stoppage inside of 2 minutes both halves
Kicking: We are considering a full kicking package that would include field goals and extra points. You would be able to rush the kicker from outside the "A" gaps only. This would include what was previously considered "free kicks" on punts.
Sideline Contact: In the past we have allowed full contact on the sideline, to force a player out-of-bounds. We are considering extended arm, open hand only this year.
Overtime: Possessions would start at the 20 yd line as opposed to the 10 yd line.
If there are any other suggestions, they must be heard before next Thursdays final league meeting in order to apply them this season.

| Um is everybody playing each other this season or is the league gonna be split in half again. That really sucked. The players want everybody to get a taste of what they can do...

| Why open hand on the sideline? By laws of physics, you gett hurt more when you are pushed at full speed than having a force drive you...so that means in the interior(linemen) they are blocking with open hands playing patty-cake with the opposition? That's East Hartford style of football...what's going on...all the main teams in our league are physical, dont take that away from us....please!!!

| The intention of that particular real change proposal is to avoid shoulder blocking to knock a ball carrier out of bounds. It would remain legal to "chest or shoulder" in the field of play. ie: tackle box, screens and returns.

| I fully understand what you are saying but whatever happened to if you jump in the air or you're on the sideline, you were live meat? It makes no sense if the linemen can block on screens the normal way that we play, in which linemen love to Tee-off on DB's and LB's, but especially the DB's, that we as defensive players can not be physical on the sidelines or when a receiver jumps...GCFFA, we all know that the Defense will get a personal foul flag against them if we hit somebody while they are airbourne along with pass interference flags. Most of the linemen I know love to see a small DB when they are running screens or toss plays and you are telling me that they will have to open hand block that person, that's leads to holding calls all day for the offense...
