| Whichever one of you spineless douchebags turned the hose on and left it running at home plate needs to go back up there and fix the mess around home plate. I'm not going to do it. If it stays that way, it's going to suck for the rest of the playoffs. Thanks a lot for that.
Congratulations Johnnys on taking the top spot and taking it the right way, BY EARNING IT ON THE FIELD.

| 25 Buds, thanks for your help tonight.
The Bulls played a great game. We will renew our rivalry in the second round.

| I was the first one to arrive at about 6:40. As soon as the gate was opened around 6:55 I stolled in...The Can Guy was there as well and mentioned that I might want to do something about the lake at home plate. There was literally 6-8 inches of water standing on the home plate area.
This was NOT an act of vadalism. This was purposely done by someone with the intention of raining out 1 baseball game. The hose was propped up on home plate and left running.
All the gates were locked and the field was lined and ready.
Major props to both teams who somehow were able to get the field playable and started within 1 hour of the scheduled start time. Also, a well pitched and played game followed. Only fitting for all the hard work that was done.
Message to whoever attempted the sabatoge...Good effort, but probably just like your baseball skills and manhood, you fell short as usual.

| D- I think the word you are looking for here is SABOTAGE. However, it didnt work. They played last night. Johnnys won a very good ballgame. The only thing you accomplished, whomever you are, is that you have now created crappy field conditions for everyone, likely for the rest of the playoffs.
The field is dragged and lined and ready to go. Home plate is an absolute mess. Forget hitting on a nice smooth surface. That's gone, it's all bumpy and uneven now and looks like sh*t. All around the home plate circle is at least 3-5 feet of mud which is now turning to dirt as it dries. As soon as it dries, and dries into big clumps, it's going to be flat out dangerous.
As soon as it rains, which is probably going to be tonight, there will be that same 6-8 inches of water, probably more in what will best be described as a kiddie pool that we once used to call home plate.
If you think 3rd base was bad, wait til you see what home plate is going to do. Of course, there is nowhere for the water to go except to run down the baselines so those will be f*cked as well.
Thank you very much for f*cking up our field. There were so many guys that put in so much time on that field this season to keep it in the shape it's in now. And take my word for it, it's a losing battle. Mother Nature is bad enough on us without her BASTARD kid stepping in.
I don't care who did it or what team they play on. It's futile to point fingers, but whoever is responsible, whether they did it by themselves, helped, or knew about it and didnt stop it, better f*cking go fix it before the playoffs start on Tuesday.
This could possibly be the last time in your life to prove you're a man.

| Hear that sound, guys? It is the sound of 50 or whatever years of history being driven into the (muddy) ground. See all of you in the MSBL! Linck eats boogers.

| Just one guy's opinion here, but I think it's more likely a neighborhood kid saw Bull Durham on TV and had nothing else to do that night. Maybe I'm just naive.

| Hart - It happened during the day, after the field was lined... There was a fairly small window of opportunity between the field lining and game time.
It's pretty likely that it was someone involved in the league, who knew the schedule, who didn't want the game to be played.

| There wasn't that small of an opportunity. I left the field Wed about 11:30 or so.
While I agree, it's fishy, it could have been anyone but it's useless to point fingers unless we all just want to stir up bad blood.
It's over. It's done with. The field is fixed. It will be fine for playoffs.
Good luck to all in the playoffs. It should certainly be a dogfight until the last out.

| Don't let Clemons be modest when he said the field is fixed. He should of said he fixed the field and anyone who saw it before can understand it took some time and effort. Thanks Coach.

| Now if we can get a three week stretch of dry weather, we will be in good shape. FYI, they are calling for a LOT of rain over the next few days. The field was in decent shape Thurs. night and that was the day after the incident took place. There was a ramp for passed balls, but the batter's box was okay in my opinion.
