| I thought maybe the article in the newspaper was incorrect "Baker 6 carries for 28 yards", but I found out that the stat line was right. I don't know which of these stats are more upsurd: the 28 yards or the 6 carries. All we heard out of OP was how dominating they are with Baker, what is going on? Six carries against Troy! The OP staff must be limiting his touches for some reason. Does anybody know what's up?

| What's up is the fact they have no offensive line whatsoever. It sad to see such a great talent not have anywhere to run. Their is no question this kid is good, but when there is nowhere to run it makes it very difficult. They gave up on the run early in the game. This has to be the worst coached team I have ever seen. They have 12 coaches and 24 players. During pregame and halftime warmups, the coaches are standing around doing nothing but talking to each other. The players have no idea what to do. It's sad for these kids. They do play hard, but once they start to get dominated, they know it's over. The sad part is that they will give up on their season real soon if not already. I can just imagine how their practices look. It's too bad.

| It is sad if the coaching staff is letting the team down. Baker was interviewed on "The Prep Ticket" and it was interesting to listen to him. I found it surprising that Oak park has 2100 students so they are D1 (probably). This team has not had much sucess even with a talented running bacl like Baker. Maybe he's banged up and thats why hes not gettng the carries?

| He didn't look banged up against Troy. He had one sweep that went for about 12 and a slant pass for about 30, 25 of it being YAC. His speed was great. He had nowhere to go all but one carry. And the one carry he did have good yards, he did it all by himself on a sweep. He had a few carries for minus. He was very involved with pass protection. It made no sense. He is the teams most dynamic offensive player and they don't get him involved with more than just the run. With their run blocking so poor. He should have been used in the slot with another RB blocking. What a waste of great high school talent. I feel sorry for the kid.

| Anybody.....??? did Baker transfer in to OP from Detroit Area Schools? If so makes me wonder why he picked OP? Curious?

| Oak Park's head coach Tim Hopkins, who used to frequent this forum quite a bit (and will again when OP get's it's 2nd win, I'm sure) pumping up his team and firing shots at non-believers, did indeed coach in the PSL before going to Oak Park. I think he was at Crockett.
I think Edwin Baker transferred from Romulus last year.
Anyway, in my humble opinion... Hopkins has either agreed with Dantonio (MSU) to cut the kids playing time this season to keep him healthy OR he's clueless coaching on the gridiron. Coach Hop sure can run it after an OP win and during the off-season though, but it's pretty weak when he disappears as the music starts to play.

| I would question the Dantonio requesting limited playing time. He was on defense the whole game after the 1st Q against Troy. He also was running the ball late in the 4th when the game was out of hand. From other reports, he was getting a lot of carries late in the other games they were blown out. This is how he is getting what little yards he has. He only passed 100 yards once (Lathrup). Nothing against the kid. He is a tremendous talent, but there is absolutely no blocking. OP has very good skilled positions but their lines are horrible.
