| All I have been tasked to solicit information regarding an East/West All-Star game where the Riverview and Park National will combine to play the St. Paul and Skyline in a game at Dunning Field. I expect a boat load of input, but only a few things will probably be negotiable so if you have strong feelings on something you need to speak with your respective commissions.
The first question is do we prefer a mid-week or weekend (Saturday evening) game? I would guess mid-week will either be Tuesday or Wednesday.
Secondly, do we prefer the week of July 6TH (Saturday, July 11TH) or the week of July 13TH (Saturday, July 18TH)? The tournament will essentially start one week later this year based on when Labor Day occurs so both of these weeks/ends are viable for all teams.
My guess is each league will have 10-13 players represented, an even number anyway so each league has the same representation. I do not know if it will include one player from each team I would guess that is up to each league.
I would anticipate the Park National and Riverview will continue to have their All-Star game the Tuesday prior to the State Tournament, but that may be a different discussion all together.
Please provide feedback as you see fit.
Thanks, Chris

| One quick note, I've received some direct responses from guys who have my direct e-mail.
Regarding the possibility of this occurring over the 4th of July weekend I agree with you in that it shouldn't. It would limit participation from a player and spectator perspective. I can guarantee I won’t support it and have already told Shawn Vellek (our commissioner) no way.

| Love the idea! I don't believe that we should have every team represented in the All-star game. Both leagues should take to top players at each position along with 5 pitchers no matter what team they play on.

| I like Hurt's idea. Not sure how everyone will feel about it but it would definetly create the best game - and hopefully draw more fans and press! The more fans/press the better. Afterall this is more than just a game it is a great way to help fund and promote our State Tourney. In the long run this could be a very positive thing for Class A.

No one cares about class A baseball. Besides the boundary lines to form teams what rules is class A not following? I no longer will feel bad about going to dassel, elko, delano, and other class b and c parks to light them up!
