| I just looked up the VFW/Destefano stats. We cant beat them. They have 1 800 hitter. 800! 8 guys in double figure HRS. 10 more guys batting 600 or better. 10 freakin guys. Their worst starting average is 573. We got 0 800 hitters. 0 700 hitters. 5 600 hitters. We are getting killed. But, they do have at least 3 chubby lefties...and if Johnstone was lefty they would have 4. That could hurt. Uhm, lets see..I cant think of one weakness. By the way, league rule is you announce courtesy runners when doing ground rules. None of this EW runs for everybody that I heard about at the PNA on monday.

| Lb4Lb let me clarify the runner issue that the PNA had. The first problem was eddie is a whiny cunt. The second problem is Broz was no better about the runners which I must admit he has always been loud about his feelings on the matter no matter which team he played, but is still a cunt for whining about it. The VFW has 3 guys that require runners. The PNA uses runners for 2 guys. I guess some how some way that makes the PNA a better team than us for only using 2 instead of 3 guys.
I made 5 outs in 7 at bats and every time i made an out it was to end an inning. This makes me the runner the following inning. Guess what you whiny PNA cunts. That makes me the runner for ... and let me list them nice and slowly for you mildly retarded PNA players / coaches...
Dutily - hammy
Duffy - torn ACL
Destefano - old feeble and possibly lazy but he has used a runner in every game since i played with the VFW unless it was someone that was hurting.
There was no cheating in the running and it was even asked of eddie 'the cunt' martin more than once and he never put up any kind of argument at the game.
PS - pinch runners didn't beat the PNA the 10 runs scored more than the team in both teams did. So find something else to whine about.

| Last year when Artie wanted to move the finals back another week because he was missing a couple of guys, I couldn't have made the next weekend because I had a trip planned to the Cape with the family. This year, mindful that we had a decent team with a good chance to advance in the playoffs, I made reservations for October 3 through October 5. The weather may not be as nice, but certainly the season would be long done with by then right? I guess not. Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place if we get rained out on Sunday. Fucking rain...

| First, OAWMF...just got the news..and thanks! Next, playoffs...I mean ,to me, its over this weekend. End of story. We can be co-champions or just give it to VFW. Enough is enough already. Draft...nice idea. Number 1 pick? I would trade the #1 pick for the 16th ( assuming a double pick ) and take DTrain and Considine. Then, knowing that Hinske's stock has dropped dramatically ...I would be looking to round out my power with the 149th pick...Hinske! Now, we have a great 3,4,5..fill in with a bunch of OAWMF's and it will be another playoff contender

| Jesus...I forgot about who took Bims from 8th place and out in the first round to the top of the mountain. It was def Dean..who hit like 3 hrs last year while suffering from whiplash after he got in a car accident on the way to the game....does everybody know that? Cracked up his Jeep, injured himself..and still limped in and let Botelhos to the Championship. Amazing. But Dean, we dont draft 40 year olds in the first round. | Broz you whine more about this one issue than eddie does all year. I couldn't disagree with you more. On very few occasions is it even much of an advantage. I scored almost every time on base but so couldn't any runner. There were HITS that drove me in not sac flies to the infield. So all it did in having me or anyone run for them was avoid an injury. No competitive advantage. I just think it's a silly argument. Pinch runners in baseball matter in softball it just avoids further injury. You should be using a runner too you fuckin knucklehead. Let's see how smart you feel when you drop holding your knee trying to prove a point.

I understand that. I dont get the concept of playing and having somebody run for you for whatever reason. We didnt lose because you ran, I never said that or whined about it its a dumb rule that shouldn't be in the game. So stop trying to paint me as an excuser I have a respect for the game and believe it should be played a certain way and taking a runner is one of the many reasons people call it a s game.
