First off double L double D

East Grand Rapids 30 Rochester Adams 21- Agree

Muskegon 21 Lake Orion 20- Agree

Southfield 37 Lowell 35- Maybe, Maybe not

Rockford 28 Clarkston 17 -Agree, Rockford scores more

Troy 27 Allendale 17- No Way

Farmington Harrison 34 Hamilton 23- Haven't seen Hamilton, I'll give you this one even though Harrison is just ok this year

Bloomfield Lahser 35 Holland Christian 20-um really?

Ferndale 26 Zeeland East 24- possible but unlikely

Caledonia 35 West Bloomfield 17 - likely

Coopersville 41 Southfield Lathrup 20 - likely

Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills 28 Auburn Hills Avondale 7 - likely

Of course I have not seen a lot of the OK teams yet, the ones I have are very good. To me Lake Orion is the class of the OAA, in my eyes even better than Adams, they lost a tough one early to Rockford, who to me is NOT the class of the OK, but very good, I would like to think L.O. could and would win a re-match. You are still giving Troy WAY to much credit, they are an average team, but appear to be better by playing a bunch of other average & sub-par teams. Honestly I think the OAA is down this season. I dont even think Clarkston is a legit state contender. They cant stop ANYONE and are way undersized on D. Outside of L.O. and Adams I think were hard pressed to find real good teams in the OAA. Southfield is about as close as it comes outside of those 2.

My apology geralldd...

regarding Allendale, aren't they D5? I still like Troy, with Muma in the lineup of course.

I also agree the league is down this year. You seem to be pretty much on with your assessments though. I've seen both Adams and Orion and this will be an excellent contest in week 8.

I'd like to do a crossover with the OAA and OK for kicks.

OAA RED/OK RED
Muskegon (6-0) at Lake Orion (5-1)
Clarkston (4-2) at Rockford (6-0)
Hudsonville (4-2) at Troy (4-2)

Grand Haven (3-3) at West Bloomfield (3-3)
Troy Athens (2-4) at East Kentwood (2-4)
Grandville (2-4) at Oak Park (2-4)
Royal Oak (0-6) at Jenison (0-6)

OAA WHITE/OK WHITE
Rochester Adams (6-0) at East Grand Rapids (6-0)
Lowell (6-0) at Southfield (5-1)
Farmington Harrison (4-2) at Grand Rapids Christian (5-1)
Grand Rapids Creston (2-4) at Farmington (3-3)
Rochester Stoney Creek (3-3) at Grand Rapids Northview (1-5)
Greenville (3-3) at Birmingham Groves (2-4)
Rochester (1-5) at Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central (2-4)
Muskegon Reeths Puffer (1-5) at Birmingham Seaholm (0-6)

They may be D-5, I dont know, sometimes division isnt much of a difference, I like to look more at talent. I've seen many D-3 & D-4 teams much better than D-1 teams this year. Regardless I like these crossover matchups a lot better!

I agree with you Bro bout Troy, why is everyone so ga-ga bout them. They are average! Mamu,Mumu, boo boo he is average! Lake O is the best team in the OAA. Adams is good but there gonna run into a team that can grind it out on the ground and control the clock and they are finished! There O is outstanding, but the D is what will keep them from the big one.

Rochester Adams 35 vs East Grand Rapids 31

While I think this game could go either way I pick Adams because:
1. Adams veer & passing attic keeps EGR offense off the field.
2.Adams defense much improved helps win this match.
3.Adams larger more experienced bench helps win this one.
4.EGR gets worn down and slows up in the 4th qtr..
5.EGR’s big win is OLSM who may be just an average to good team this year.
6.Adams also would put some big points up on OLSM if they played each other.

Lake Orion 21 vs Muskegon 28

Although LO could certainly win this game I think Muskegon is the winner because:
1.Musky exceptional ground game beats LO at its own game (running the ball)
2.Freshmen inexperience catches up to the LO QB in this big game.
3.Tough LO defense keeps this game close.
4.Musky is the best from the OK Red , rich in tradition, knows how to win.
5.If LO forces turnovers in this game they could beat Musky.

Southfield 24 vs Lowell 17

Southfield beats a good Lowell team but must not make any mistakes to do so. Here is why they win:
1.Lowell cannot contain the speed from Southfields QB, running back, and wide outs.
2.Southfields defense stacks the line and blitzes to cause Lowell turnovers.
3.Southfield speedy defense contains Lowell’s running attack and forces them to go to a passing game.
4.Southfield must limit penalties and turnovers to win.

Clarkston 35 vs Rockford 31 (My Upset Pick)

Clarkston motivated from its upset loss to Lathrup springs this upset win over Rockford.
1.Clarkston’s high octane offense puts enough points up for the win.
2.Rockford is not the best team from the OK Red runs into a motivated C Town team.
3.Clarkston’s defense does just enough to secure the win and saves face for the season.
4.Rockford comes in over confident expecting a win … gets a surprise.

Only predicting the above games because I am not even remotely familiar with the other west side teams. Point to be made here is OAA teams would be very competitive with the OK Red. None of these games would be a blow out and turnovers and penalties would play a major role in deciding the winner. I feel this year there is a lot of parity on the east side of the state and in the OAA conference. It will make for a exciting and surprising playoff and don’t be surprised if the OAA does well.

i think the best matchup in the state of michigan is Rochester Adams vs. Muskegon. two veer offenses gearing at eachother. man would that be crazy. I think muskegon would come out on top with a strong win over the highlanders 49-42. both offenses are crazy explosive and both defenses could use some work, but muskegon's defense comes out on top in this win i think though.

Scouts I hope this happens with a twist though. Musky turns over the ball late in the 4th and The Highlanders take it in for the upset Adams 49 Musky 42 in a shootout with the crowd begging for more...WHO NEEDS DEFENSE

I think you're jumping the gun here. There are too many very good D2 schools to predict anything. Adams needs to find their D if they think they get that far. Musky has some extremely good teams to get through. Don't forget how Musky and Hudsy swapped beatings last year. Also, Lowell is waiting in the bush. DLS could be found in D2 also. Lets see the brackets, then we can have our playoff guesses (in the literal sense).
