| Oak Park all year is like wow there gonna be great, NOT. Then Rochester, lots of hype and build up from the blog fans. They were 2-7 all day this year. Seaholm what was everybody thinking. I thought if they won 3 that would be a good year. Then there's Troy they will end up 5-4 but the blog fans adore these guys. Some of you blog fans need to see some of the teams before you start the hype type thing.

| rc - teams are only as good as their coaches. Take a look at the 7 NCAA commits, all but one are playing for teams that are in the bottom half. There can be tremendous talent within a team, but it's up to the coach to bring it all together.

| I agree 100% I just find it funny that the fan is getting caught up in the hype and not looking at the teams. I'm sure you as a fan understand how to judge and rate a team. High school football has lots to do with TEAM leadership, heart and desire. That's why I judge these teams as over rated. Ferndale is a great example of team and desire, and you can throw in there Southfield, Adams, Lasher, and a big example is Farmington 8 sophmores starting and they get no props.

| To be fair, a lot of times pre-season stuff especially in high school if difficult to be accurate, you rarely know who is going to step up as underclassman and what kind of leadership you will get out of your seniors. That is a HUGE part of high school sports.
And I still can see Troy finishing 6-3, to me Lathrup is the toss up game. They lose to Southfield and beat Athens.

| This is very interesting topic because there are those in other blogs and forums who honestly feel that the OAA Conference is overated. Taken to an extreme there a few who even say teams like Adams , Lk Orion, Southfield, and Clarkston r overated. I can understand some of the criticism such as weak defense, undersized, simple offense just to name a few. Some will say we have little to no chance with the OK Red conference, CHSL, and MAC teams. The truth is I won't know until the playoffs when we play out of conference teams. Looking at last year the OAA did very well certainly one of the best conferences in the state. I maintain this is a very good conference....time will tell for this season.

| Agree that Rochester is overrated, but its hard to write them off in any game becasue you never know which team will show up. They competed with Southfield despite five turnovers, two inside the five yardline, the other returned for a pick.

| SOF I agree! Not sure who you are but I am an alumn of Rochester so hello :) Rochester to me shows sparks but is way too inconsistent. The only game they really came out and dominated was Stoney. Other games that I have seen they show signs of being a not only good but great team. It shows though that they are inexperienced on both sides of the ball when they fail to make that final push in the 4th.
