| I saw the worst example of poor sportmanship ever in high school football. With Creek losing there homecoming and playoff chances there coach which should be fined or fired for having his players take late hits on the QB on handoff plays where the QB was out of the play and refs not looking in that direction. Well Purdue scouts were there and also Central Michigan and they were appalled. Everybody knows he stepped over the line. He has that rep and game film will be going to league officals. I hope he is proud of his actions. By the way they lost.

| The opposing team coach has got to call the officals to the sideline and draw their attention to such unsportsmanship. I wish coaches would talk to the officials more often.

| They did and they got flaged. The refs gave a warning to the players, but it's the fact that a coach would call his team to do that. He needs to be called on the carpet.

| Huh... This really seems out of character. Anyway, I am aware that Coach Gross has a rather tight relationship with the CMU coaching staff. Just a little tidbit to stir the kettle.

| No pot to stir. Wrong is wrong and let's see if he has any class to admit he and his players were wrong. He could had told his team no more after the 1st 2 times, at least 7 times it happened. Central Michigan wants players they could care less about him. They got Fisher and they were there looking at 2 of Farmingtons players.

| Talk about poor sportsmanship...I heard that the Farmington QB's dad wasn't too gentleman-like after the game either. Guys, there's a lot of nasty stuff that goes on during ANY football game that we don't see...be it a hard poke in the eye, an intentional hard jab to the ribs, racial slurs...the list goes on and on. Believe me, I do not condone unsportsmanlike conduct, but to single out one team...that's ludicrous

| I saw what when on after the game. The QB's dad is a born again Christian, and said and did nothing wrong. His comment were straight forward and to the point. No yelling, cursing or threats. Just spoke the truth. If the actions on the field were on the street there would have been assult charges. You need to watch the tape there are the facts. What there coaching did was wrong and deserves attention and punishment. If you really believe things go on the field that are wrong stand up and make a change, your teaching these young men the wrong thing.

| Moe, don't be deceived I think that the SoB that wrote this is the dad that has no class and made some comments to the Stoney Creek player. Rccola I think that you have proven to be very dishonorable and non christian just by the fact that you are being a sore loser about the whole thing. Don't blame the coach because he didn't coach that way and get over the late hit because they always will happen and if I remeber correctly, Farmington also made some cheap hits.

| Moe wasn't at the game at Adams. I am not the QB's father. Wish I were. My son is on Farmington JV. It's a shame that People are defending this coach. You would think people would want to make sure that these tactic's are put to a stop before someone is hurt badly, our is that part or the Game?

| rccola, you are correct. I was not at the Adams game, but I do read the various forums. You seem to be partial to the Farmington QB...so I can see why George thinks you're his dad. Honestly, for you to believe that any coach would encourage his team to 'play dirty' is stupid. This is football - not golf or tennis. Case closed...next topic please!!!!

| Moe the Kid is special hangs with my son that's why I speak highly of him. He's involved with the Farmington Rockets youth football and played 2 years for them. Him and his brothers have bible studies for kids in the area, lost a cousin 2 drive by shooting in Detroit. His coach's think the world of him, his grade school principle still calls him and visit's him. And Bradley of Rochester talk and plan on working out together this off season.

| After reading all of this...
I will say once again, in regards to Rc's absurd accusations, it would be absolutely out of character for Coach Gross to give any "order to head hunt" to any high school football team. Unless you have factual proof that he indeed did so, I suggest that you stop writing such nonsense as it makes you look rather foolish (unchristian like).

| Whoops ... something is driving this. Not sure what the true motivation is ... but this should be vented directly to the coach in question. If that is not satisfactory try the AD. Has Farmington filed any kind of protest for this alleged activity? If not I suggest u let it drop! IMHO

| Yes it has and email was sent to the coach. Call me foolish, call me unchristian but I believe the truth should be brought forth. This is America and I believe we have a right to stop the injustice that goes around. Why are people hurling insults? Yes I believe in Jesus Christ and yes I believe Justice will come out of this.I have nothing against anybody on this sight, most of you are wonderful people. I just don't understand the reaction that is coming forth.

| rccola not Im not questioning anything other than at this stage this alleged incident should be handled between schools, coaches, ADs, and MHSAA.
U have brought it to the forums attention and this can not be resolved here. I know it is nice to vent I have the need to do it every so often but there is a time to let go and let the powers to be reslove this. This is just my humble opinion..take it for what its worth.
Peace Out!

Anyway there is alot of good football to talk about... so I look forward to ur comments and analysis Rccola!

| ok... Christianity has nothing to do with this and I'm sorry about any implication.
Note: I don't know what happened between Stoney Creek and Farmington other than a few stats, the score and what Rc wrote here. Sorry for my ignorance.
It's one thing for several cheap shots to be delivered over the course of a game if the coach tries to get a handle on it. In fact, with some programs you can count on it. However, it's a completely different thing for a head coach of any program to deliver instructions to various capable and willing players to seriously damage another.
I hope you see my point Rc, I see yours. If any coach is guilty of giving such instruction they must dealt with properly and severely.
peAce to you

| Thanks for your reply. I have nothing against anyone at Stoney Creek, I don't know there Coach. I have no reason to dislike the man. I have been to many High school games, I mean many and I have witnessed on 5 diffferent games where head coaches benched there players for late hits. Detroit Catholic Cent. PSL Mackenzie, Harrison and Farmington and Allen Park over the years. The coach controls the team. He is responsible. KIds play hard, nothing like a great hit. You get my point.

| I also have nothing against Farmington, not that a Stoney Creek parent wouldn't do it but I just thought that it was out of character for someone to come straight up to a player and degrade him. Thats what makes him dishonorable. It is the coach's job to disipline his players not a fan. For the record Coach Gross has done it in the past. I wish to end this discusion but I have to know why you would ever bring up sportsmaship if you were going to attack the Stoney creek coach? None of this had to be said if you hadn't brought it up in the first place. And you're right OAAScouts christianity has nothing to do with this but for whatever reason RC thought it was a good way to defend the actions of the QB's father.

Who's going to win and a score of the Oak Park vs Stoney Creek battle for Friday night?
Personally, I think Marco Santi comes up big for the Creek in a 20-19 win over Coach Hopkins' Knights.

| Marco Santi comes up huge in Stoneys win with a long touchdown reception and a touchdown run. He took some hard hits in this game but played through it. Congrats to Stoney on senior night.
Shoutout to David Polack who was all over the field yesterday. An underrated defensive tackle, he had a safety and many tackles.

| I was at this game. Behavior of the Stoney Creek player towards the Farmington QB was inexcuseable.
SC coach either knew about this and excused it or didn't know about it and has no control of his team.
I really question whether that guy should be coaching.

| I too was at the game and did not witness any 'unsportsmanlike' conduct toward FH's QB. The ref's were very attentive on calling penalties, where needed. And btw FH's coach complimented Coach Gross and the Creek's performance.

| Well MoE, then you were blind.
After he watched the films from a wide angle lens, the Stoney Creek coach called up Coach Bechtel from Farmington and apologized to him.
There were 5-6 cheap shot late hits on the Farmington QB on straight running plays. Refs only called a personal foul on one.

| Farmdad your statements are true. That's what happened. I thank God the truth came out. There is no place for this kind of football, lot's of people came down on Farmington's asst. coach's but they saw what happened and were upset to see what they saw. It's over with and if any of you would have seen the tapes you would understand what the fuss was about.

| The Stoney Creek kids were too soft to hit anybody carrying the ball or during the play, so they had to do this. I think on the first Farmington TD #28 broke about 2 tackles, and then #29 had some ridiculous one where like 5 kids just refused to try and hit him.

this topic is tired. The game was over weeks ago. Let it rest. Also, please do not specifically call out the kids. This is not Mlive and we should not behave like this. The OAA is the class of all conferences. Let's please keep it that way.
