West Bloomfields defense has looked amazing the last 3 weeks pitching two(technically three due to a safety by Seaholms Defense)They really have come to play pulling their offense out of two holes. one against Seaholm. The other against Lathrup where Eric Ellis scored both of their two Touchdowns. I go to all of West Bloomfield Games home or away i live in the community and their defense looks 100% better this year then the last. i honestly can say that they have the number 1 defense in the OAA. Chris Rainge, the big playmaker for the Defense has looked extremely well most of the season and although statistically he does not lead, he makes the big plays all game and is a tremendous athlete getting 10 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble last game, it amazes me why he doesn't start somewhere on the field. Justin Parker also looks superior this season. he leads the Lakers in tackles and looks like the most solid linebacker on the team. With these defensive weapons. i think the Lakers have the best Defense in the OAA

Yes, West Bloomfield has a good defense, but Lake Orion is easily the best in the OAA. Defensive touchdowns- Rockford 1, West Bloomfield 2, Oak Park 1,Lathrup 0, Athens 0, Troy 0, Royal Oak 0, Adams 4, (only 1 in the second half).

Don't overlook Lahser HS in the Blue Division. Thehy have allowed 93 pts total thru 8 games. Allowing on average less than 12 points a game. The y deserve some recognition for a srong defense.

What About Ferndale who held Lahser to 10 points in a losing effort. Lahser previously averaged 40 pts per game before meeting Ferndale

WBs D has been very impressive as of late. They are quick and do well against the run. They can surprise some people in the playoffs. Do they have the overall talent to go far? Don't think they will get out of their district (regardless of what district) but they can possibly knock off the top team in their district. I think LO has to be at the top of this list. They create turnovers and capitalize. They don't have many holes.

West Bloomfield does have a very good D, they are going to be a very very dangerous team for whichever 1 or 2 district seend they face in the playoffs...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they draw Sterling Hts Stevenson 1st round.

Thanks Boonazz for the Lahser credit. Lahser's starting D, after Harrison has only allowed 4 touchdowns

It is hard to compare teams in OAA red, blue and white.

However, over their last 6 games, Farmington's defense has played very well.

Two shutouts and most of the points allowed have come on either offensive turnovers or poor special teams play. D. Line puts a lot of pressure on the QB.
