| As the playoffs quickly approach ...u probably looked at the brackets, done your research on the competition. What r your thoughts ?:
I feel Southfield has got an excellant chance to make it to the semis. Adams has got it tough with Delasalle waiting for them at regionals if they can make it past Brother Rice. If Lake Orion makes it out of Districts they could cruise into the semis. Brief thoughts more to come.....

| My pics: Adams vs BBR Adams has one of the most challenging brackets in the playoffs. So who would be surprised with a Brother Rice 1st round matchup? No matter the record this will be a tough hard fought game. Rice has not seen a passing attack like Adams ...in the end Adams wins .... Adams 31 Rice 21
Lake Orion vs Eisenhower (Ike) This game should not be close ....but this is the playoffs. Lake Orion has played 2 back to back tough games in the OAA...and proved they are ready for anyone in the playoffs. Lake Orion 24 Ike 10
Clarkston vs Romeo Battle tested and ready for the playoffs Clarkston faces a solid ground attack from Romeo a team who humbled Dakota at the beginning of the season. Will Clarkston's defense be up to the task ... holding Lk Orion to 17 pts told me alot: Clarkston 21 Romeo 17

| Other than Farmington... Troy, no doubt, has the roughest of the OAA's 1st rounders at Dakota. In my eyes, if Griff has TC up for this one... they may make a showing.
I was at Southfield in week 8 and even though they were a bit more inspired after halftime, that was a flat team.
If the Colts are healthy, I like them the show.

| Farmington, with 6 straight wins, is rolling along nicely and this should be a dandy.
Both teams are coming off an emotional and physically draining week with close victories over their respective rivals, North Farmington (21-14) and Southfield Lathrup (19-12).
In week 1, Jay RB's went wild. Tim Keith ran for 202 yards and 3 scores. Robert Drayton had 7 carries for 94 yards and both backs caught passes. Farmington RB Neno Jones had 20 rushes but was held to 53 yards.
Much has happened since that game. The Falcons have matured into a deserved playoff program.
Tonight, defense plays a huge factor. However, it's penalties, special teams and turnovers that make the difference once it's all said and done.

| Sometimes stats don't tell the story... but if they do, then Clarkston and Romeo should be a wild ride.
The Wolves and Bulldogs have played stellar competition through the regular season and battled their way to a week 10 meeting.
Romeo is 3-2 against teams that made the playoffs while Clarkston went 2-2. Each team scores at a clip of 37 points a game but the Romeo defense only allows 13 points per game. Clarkston gives up 24.
The Bulldogs hammered Utica while Clarkston is coming off a tough loss to Lake Orion.

| Brother Rice's defense won't be able to hang with Patritto's offensive unit.
Lake Orion will ride Ike like a trike.
Lahser will have Thurston a burstin'.
The Eagles will leave droppings all over the Shorians.
Lakeland is underrated. West Bloomfield is too. Not after week 10 victories.

| Does anyone else see the winner of the Farmington v. Southfield matchup making it to the State Semi Finals? Southfield is the spotlight team in that region, and Farmington is coming in hot with their revamped defense.
I think that game comes down to wether or not they can get their rushing attack going, Neno Jones for Farmington does not have the ability to be a feature back for Farmington, something has to change for them to be able to get a rushing attack. Farmington's Matt Craven makes good decisions with the football, but hasn't faced a very active defensive backfield since Harison. The Farmington defense should be able to contain the Southfield offense, and when i say contain, i mean hold them under 30 points, no one is shuting that offense off this year. With two feature-quality backs in Robert Drayten and Tim Keith for Southfield, plus dual threat Eddie Beal, Southfield will be able to run their offense effectively. The question for Southfield is if their defense will stop Farmington's offense. They have not been sound tacklers this year, but do defend the pass extremely well with their ball hawking free safety. Farmington should try to get the hands in Daevon Scarber and their spark-plug back #29 to generate an offense, #29 may have one of the best yards-per-carry averages, but that can be attritbuted as much to his ability as to his number of carries. Look for this game to be decided in the first half, not by a blowout, but by which unit, Farmington's offense v. Southfield's defense, wins that battle.
Other OAA action: Lahser over Thurston Saint Clair Shores over Ferndale Lake Orion over Utica Adams over Rice Dakota big over Troy West Bloomfield over Stevenson Lakeland over Avondale big Romeo over Clarkston
Now here's a tough question, some one guess what area i live in.
