It is with considerable regret that BFM announces that he will be leaving JCFC before the season resumes, he agreed yesterday to a free transfer for a move back to London. There was a lot of scrabbling to get this deal confirmed before the transfer window ended yesterday and it all happened very quickly.

Fortunately there was no physical required.

BFM will really miss playing, training, drinking and socializing with JCFC. The move should take place in around 6-8 weeks depending on shipping logistics. It’s something BFM was looking to do at some point in 2009 but this is a little earlier than he expected it to come to fruition. There will be some sort of WAG goodbye party at chez BFM, but it’s obviously also critical that we sort out an NWA before the season resumes.

What can i say that won't be said again and again...

We will miss you greatlywe will not be same without you on the pitch, on the sideline or at the pub, but are glad to have shared the past four plus years with you. Who'll organize the drinkathons? the prop bets? the drinking games? Who'll get us out to a pubcrawl in january in hoboken?

I for one i'm quite saddened, although bolstered by the fact i now have more reasons (and a place to stay) to travel to London than just to see the gunners.

Yes, through the wonders of the net, you will keep up with our antics through the writings of turbo on the front page as we will be sure to keep up with you when JCFC East London is formed and running.

-as they say on the swamp, mighty dusty here. clean up!

That sucks. But it's in your best interest and your family, and when the Queen comes a calling for BFM to assist the government out of this fiscal mess, BFM is obliged as a loyal servent to her majesty.

It's going to be freakin weird w/out you there you bloody bloke. I hope you can be there on the lines for one of our March games before you pack up and go.

A Text Message went out to several of the lads and a quick response indeed forthcame. Many are suggesting Villa Indios in Newark, nevertheless, a proper send off needs to be arranged at the end of the month.

Sucks, but it's life. Most of us know it since we were in similar situations in the past.
Barry, we will miss you, your cheerfulness, social skills, and hard tackles on the left side of the defense. And asking for a sub 5 minutes into the game!!!
All the best for you and your lovely family in London, and as Juan said, we have now a great excuse to visit you there!!!
Looking forward to the farewell party
O.

I, for one, will play better in practice without Barry "The Shadow" Morgan breathing down my neck. He is pound for pound the best one-on-one defender on the team, yet he rarely inserted himself in games, preferring to stay on the sidelines in order to see the big picture and to avoid giving the impression that he was abusing his power.
You can say a lot of things about JCFC, but nobody can argue that it's the best organized club in the Garden State, and I'd say BFM deserves a lot of credit for that.

I appreciate that you have to get you priorities right and family comes first, however, the move of BFM back to the UK will also put an end to my dancing career. With whom can I now share my cariographed moves. Seriously you will be fondly missed Barry and the team will have lost a large part of it's lifeblood. :-(

Who else is going to guilt me into going to the pub at 10pm when I need to be in the city by 5am? I am afraid for the organization of our team when Barry leaves, is there anyway he can still run the team from across the pond? We can have him on the sidelines via Skype.
