Stevie, I'm all for regular games with you guys. We both play out of the same home ice - so there's not reason why not. But.....we (the Panthers) will need to do quite alot of inward searching and tactic analysis (Do I hear..."What tactics") if we are to avoid humuliating defeats like last night.

Ronny that’s good that you would consider playing the black hawks on a more regular basis.

Honestly I didn’t think you had a bad game, the black hawks just took their chances. Ali did make a good few cracking saves, although the black hawks always had a guy in front of the net for the rebounds and screens. It looked like your passing was coming together a lot more. I think the main problem was the black hawks defence were stepping in early and challenge for the puck as I noticed a few times that they were challenging at the blue line.

As for robin, you know the other week i could have sworn i forgot why you were a pr*ck when I knocked myself out and had memory loss, am so glad my memory came back!!!

Guys its a fun friendly game, so that everyone is getting some ice and that we can all learn, it doesnt matter the score.

The problem was that we scored 3 very quick 2nd period goal, and a lot off heads went down on the panthers side.

You also have to remember you guys had a rookie goalie in nets (who played very well) but if his head goes down and the rest off the heads go down, its very hard to come back from.

the 1st period was very fair, and good hard close game. Just look for that to continue.

Also we had to fringe players pull out due to short notice and injuries, so had to get 2 bodys in. Both off whom will skate all night. They were picked because off their closeness to the rink. (makes sense). But hopefully next time there will be no need for them. Which coupled with maybe jimbo being there will make the 2nd and 3rd period as close as the first, which is what we all want.

So heads up guys, brush it off and see u all on the 25th!

Hi all, Neil Porteous here, thought I would put in my thoughts from this topic, firstly thanks to the Panthers for giving my team mates the opportunity to take part in this game, I can honestly say regardless of what the final score was, we had no idea how the final outcome would have been what it was, but, the score was not a true reflection of how the game really was, when it comes down to it, the difference was the netminder, we had a very experienced goalie, whilst you had a guy who tried his heart out, but is by all means learning his trade, I have personally asked Robin to consider the guy to train with us in order to help him improve his netminding skills as I believe it would help him, (my Opinion)I really enjoyed the game and I'm sure most of my team did too, I really felt challenged at times by some of your players, especially the younger ones, Haha not you Mack, I would love for this to be a regular game as I'm sure your team would enjoy more games likewise, anyway I just thought I would put in a few words, once again thanks for the game, till next time

gotta say, i'd be up for playing them on a regular basis regardless of what the score could be.

we did hold our own in the first period, just a lack of taking oppurtunities when we had them. then we put the heads down.

chances are if we played them again it'd be a totally different outcome - maybe more to them or less.. or we may even win!

end of the day they're a decent team to play against, only way to improve as a team is to play decent teams - better than just playing a scrimmage amongst ourselves.

yeah i'd also be up for regular games against the Blackhaks to, as playing against teams like that is better experience regardless of score (any and all practise is needed for me) and as was said already we were holding our own in the first period.

hey ali, well played at blackhawks training. You done well and were standing up to alot of shots, making lots of saves and your angles were alot better to. It was a close black v white game. Goalies played well (ali and monkey)
Think it ended 1 game each and a draw in the 3rd game.
Well done dude.

It may be a good idea to swap the goalies for the next game........

Got beat by a bunch of burds at pond hockey today who would challenge the Pirates if it was non-contact.

We are playing with a bunch of aussies. You play 4 on 4 for pond hockey and the aussies have no ice awareness. The burds were about 21 and play C division ladies league. They just passed it about, played heads-up hockey, they made it look eassy and the young aussie lads couldn't get over how good the burds were at hockey.
