Managers, be sure to read the new section at left containing the rewritten rules 1-11. Read the by-laws section for rules 12-36.
Thank you.

Also, deposits are due on 3/2 but we will take them or the full league fee this Monday if you would like. Earlier payments will help us move forward faster. Make checks payable to Coventry Men's Softball League.

Smitty there was a question as to one of the by-laws concerning the voting rights of the executive committee. What we decided was that a person who is a league official is also a manager he/she has one vote but if they are not a manager they do not get a vote. Thus Consadine would not have a vote nor would Baxter according to this by-law. You, and Dolan would have the only voting rights since you are managers is that correct?

Also in the event of a tie we decided to go to an arbitrator decision...at present we have Baxter who could be deemed an arbitrator since he has no affilitation with any team. Is this how you want the by-law to read. Also in the future when Baxter retires I suggest we make Rob Raymond the arbitrator since he is level headed and fair and "everyone loves Raymond!"

So the by-law would read something like this:

In the event of an impass in voting a special arbitrator who would be named at the beginning of each season would cast a vote to decide the outcome.

Is everyone good with that?

Mert,

Would this take away the old coin flip to decide resolution?

yes i agree. i would vote botelho arbitrator due to the fact he isn't on any team. but when rob is done throwing 16 foot rainbows he could be arbitrator.

Gopher, yes in fact it would eliminate the coin flip! Smitty, I would agree Botelho would be perfect as would Rob.

I want to be King4King of the league. benevolent dictator. first, artie is out. 2nd, VFW 2008 championship is declared null and void. Botelhos repeats. 3rd Stevens serves as the Count de Monet and Gopher is Bernaise
