IF anyone knows of a team who might be interested in playing on April 4, please have them contact me. We have two teams right now and would like to have at least 6. It is very important that we raise money for JC little league. They have a lot of kids playing and not very much money at all. So get a team together, anyone can play! It's just for fun and it is for a good cause!!! 983-9823

In the first message I posted, I said there will be volunteer umpires. If we were to get enough teams, we can pay an umpire. I know of 3 guys who are playing in the tounament, myself included, who are willing to umpire.

If you are asking how they pay umps for little league, many of them are volunteer umps too, until you get into the older age groups. I don't know how, or who pays the umps. We had this tounament in Marion last year and raised $700. This is just for the little league boys and girls.

If any coed teams are interested in the J.C. touney please contact me. Co-ed teams will be spotted runs before the game starts and will have unlimmited home runs if they are playing a non Co-ed team. Again, this is just for fun and to raise money for the little league.

I dont believe you will get an IHSA ump to do those little league games..Usually they do the traveling teams' games.

We have umpires for Johnston City little league. The money will help with equipment, up grades, and other things for all the teams and kids. Again we have umpires and the funds to pay them we just wanted to add to the account.

Thanks John. I do have a player for you. He said he would play in the touney and on your summer team if you need him. His name is Brian Smith, AKA Lefty. Pretty good stick, but he says he can't throw real well. I have 3 teams so far.I would like to have six. If we can't get enough teams we can move the day from April 4 to April 16. So if there are any teams who can make that date, call and let me know!!
