Hello, I know this is short notice since the team rosters are due this Monday but I would love to join a softball team if someone has a position open.

I am 27 years old and have played a lot of baseball in my past. I have also been in a bunch of softball tournaments too. I am a fast running and I am very competitive when it comes to playing sports. I usually play the outfield, center field but am willing to play whatever the team needs me to be. In the past I usually am a start off hitter. I am not a power hitting, just someone who tries to hit the ball to get on base.

If you let me join you won't be disappointed. My phone number is 401-359-1853 if someone wants to talk to me. I will do my best to try to make it to Mondays meeting, April 13th since this is the deadline and all of the managers will be there.

I will be checking site to see if anyone posts so if you would like me to contact you leave your number.
Thank you
James Phetteplace

"start off hitter". I think he plays cricket. And ...Jimmy, explain your simple assault/ domstic charge from a couple years ago. This league is full of church going law abiding teatotallers. I think he belongs " starting off" for Delpadres Team or whereever T Mac is playing

I thought this was cricket only you don't let the ball bounce? Yes, start off hitter, I am fairly confident I will start off by hitting the ball, bounce or no bounce and get on base. :)

great reply James. I have a theory..a sub 500 hitter would have taken offense to my post. a 500+ hitter would have come back as you did....someone sign Starter Jimmy up..I will give him the bat i bought for OAWMF

iretire4iretired8times. I stink!!! Im batting last on that team. ( NO EGO ) And changed positions to fit other guys in. Do I get a letter in the mail for that????

Im not a good start off batter.. because im slow as hell, cant hit, cant even get off the bench cause im not on the gopher/stevens workout plan.

If you were on the team you would be leading off with calves like that you gotta be fast! haha

O'Dooorley Rules !!!!! hahha

speaking of you stinking..one of my all time favorite coventry highlights is you playing left for JRs...JR is pitching...couple guys on base Wash Oak...someone hits a towering fly to left. TMAC camps under it..waiting waiting waiting..oh shit..the ball lands 8 feet behind him and the bases clear. JR gets the ball back on the mound and stares..just stares..to left field..trying to melt TMAC with the heat from his glare...for like a solid 2-3 minutes. The game grinds to a complete halt while JR just stared out to left...probably thinking " if I ran out there and killed him right now I would be out of jail by the time my grandkids graduate high school and...ah..fuck it. Killing him right now aint worth it . But someday.....".

O'Doorley Rules has got to be the catchphrase of the year. Especially with Tommy C looking like he's straight out of the O'Doyle family from Billy Madison.
