| Periodically I will update as to what is going on in the Riverview and will also post my rankings......
1) Mtka (17-2)(7-0) Dominate again even without Richards. They must have signed a couple more professional players, or found a new steriod supplier. If not Schmittttty must have gotten a new line on some magic batting mittens and wrist bands for the entire club.
2) SLP (13-4)(5-1) Has to be the oldest club in the state for Class A.....it will be interesting to see how they hold up and even more importantly then that how long they stick together as a unit.....what will happen to the club when as many as half the team could all retire at once. Only league loss came to Edina (5-6)
3) Edina (9-6)(6-3) Again the entire league nearly from top to bottom is extremely tough. Losses were (4-6) Bandits, (0-2) NW and (3-5) to Mtka.
4) Bandits (11-7)(4-3 with one suspended game) Losses (1-6 to BP)(3-15 SLP)(5-12 to NW)
5) NW Redhawks (3-3)(3-3) Much improved club with 2-3 to Mtka, 0-4 loss to Hopkins and 5-6 loss to EP
6)Hopkins (3-7)(3-5) Line up is weaker but they can play defense and run plus have a decent pitching staff......all I want to know is if McDonald ices his arm by wrapping it up after every game.
7) BP Ho Dogs.....another much improved club and their record as well as ranking here could perhaps be higher......one team that certainly should not be taken lightly. Losses were (0-4 Mtka)(5-10 SLP but were ahead through 7th in 9 inning game......(2-4 Edina)
8)EP (2-5)(2-5) Losses (0-4 Bandits)(2-12 Mtka)(3-9 BP)(5-15 SLP and 5-11 to Hopkins
9) Richfield (1-6)(1-5) Way down but still have a few solid players....losses (2-5 Mtka)(3-11 SLP)(1-6 Edina)(4-5 Bandits)(3-4 EP)
10) And last but also last is the team who posts phantom victories against the best team more then likely of all time in Class A and one of the most prolific clubs of all time in the state....
THE WESTSIDE BOMBERS (0-9)(0-6) Lost 0-11 Mtka, 1-11 EP, 1-10 SLP, 0-1 Hopkins, 1-2 Bandits and 0-10 RF.....keep plugging away boys and have fun you are a solid group of players (seriously) and a pleasure to play against because you have fun and try hard.
Tonka and Park play Tuesday night in what is always a very big game.

| You interested in entering the scores from the league into the website? Lack of entries from the Riverview League and Park National leave this site a bit bare.

| I could enter scores periodically perhaps but the scores would depend on teams posting them on their sites as I don't want to maintain contact with all the clubs.

| I can't wait for the Tonka/SLP game to be made up! I hope they get to play both this summer so the Riverview winner isn't determined in one game.
Park (they are the reigning champs, so they can be talked about first) is on a seven game win streak and putting up monster scores. Usually they see the other teams top arm and are still scoring which is bad news for other teams across the metro. Although they are not young, the middle of the lineup (Paulsen, Johnson, Lindstrom) of 30 somethings would scare the pants off of most college pitchers. The only liability right now is the pitching staff as they are winning a lot of 10-5, 11-6, 15-5 games. If their team doesn't hit, they will have a tough time winning.
Tonka is on an 18 game win streak (website). The scores of the last three games have been 10-0, 13-0, and 12-0. The lineup is getting hot and the arms are throwing well. I've seen three different starters for them, and they've all looked good (Woodrow, Urdahl, Broxey, haven't seen Mason yet this year). There is also a couple of young pitchers who throw hard (St Olaf and Indiana State). If they can hit and pitch at the same time, Tonka is going to be tough to beat in any game.
Edina is a legitimate number three in this league. Too young and overmatched to win it this year, but they will be good for years to come if they stay together. Pitching staff added at least four arms, and the lineup doesn't look anything like last years. I guess they grabbed a lot of DMACC boys and some of the Bloomington kids. The shortstop is real good and they have young legs.
It seems like there is quite a drop off after that, which is hard to believe because there are some good teams around the league.
