| I might be a little lost on the playing boundaries for Class A, B, and C and would like to get some help on the issue. Anybody can play A regardless of where a player resides? If a player resides within the 494/694 loop, a player can't play outside of the loop? Is it literally 30 miles from home plate to the players front door of his residence to qualify for B or C team? thanks to whom ever can answer these questions. old timer???

| Wow!!! Not sure what to say about all the banter, I've only read a few things. Hope you guys are having fun. Good Luck to everyone the rest of the way, the real part of the season starts in a few weeks.
Regarding the boundaries:
I don't have the current rule book in front of me and it's changed slightly but you can find some of the amendments to the rules in the MBA Board minutes.
You are correct that any player can play Class A, but it does require permission from the Board if you are outside the boundaries of Class A. Essentially the boundaries are 494/694, but that's not completely accurate. The southern boundary is actually the MN river and some other similarities like that. The safe bet is 494/694 however, and not player can go outside the loop for sure.
The radius I believe is 25 miles, but it may have changed. I know there is a website they use to do the calculations, but point to point has changed over time and was officially (re)defined again this year. Leagues can also be more restrictive than this too.
Good question, hope this helps, respond back if you need more detail and I'll get it for you.
