ESPN: "Who is the team that surprises you the most and that you can foresee winnig it all"

PG: " SURPRISE, NO! The Shockers have been looking pretty good the previous few tournies and really will be picking up steam once Kenny Lofthouse finds his swing again in Double F leagues. With Kenny in the line-up the Shockers will now have another consistent bat in the line-up with some power"

ESPN: " Do you think age will begin to catch up with Ken?"

PG: "Age I do not foresee as the issue, at the end of last year Ken began a trial swing, what we call the half-swing and it just wasn't working if he stays away from that and begins swinging like we know he can, it should have a great second half of the year"

ESPN: "Any other issues with Shockers?"

PG: "Well just like any team they need to stay away from the injury bug, rumor has it that one of their starters, and this is not confirmed, got hurt playing with a G team and was out of position. This reminds me when Jose Canseco thought he could pitch. Well, my source stated their player was playing out of position and may have thrown out his arm. Another source stated that he did not hurt his arm throwing it was the G teams Circle Jerk that caused it for whatever reason the player may be out"

ESPN: " No player Name?"

PG: " Unfortunately, I cannot reveal the player as it is not confirmed."

ESPN: "So is this the team to beat?"

PG: "Watch out for those Beaver-Shockers, if and only if Ken L finds his old ways, and I do mean old!"

Jon Kruk reports: According to team sources the injured player from the hot Shockers hurt himself mowing lawns because he thought he was Mexican after hanging around two so much. He was pulling the cord on so many mowers it threw his arm out.

Jon Clayton reports: According to local city newspapers he had deteriorating muscles from the HGH he took in the offseason which may be the reason for his MVP type caliber season with unreal increase in his HR RBI and SLG% numbers which he has already surpassed his numbers from last year. This case seems very similar to Carlos Quentin of the White Sox last year. This could cost this young Silver Slugging All Star the MVP.

Team Trainer Reports: The young allstar is seeing arm special Dr. Anderson in Florida later this week, and the Shockers have played him on the 15 day DL, making room for the call up of Kenny Lofthouse, a 15 year old veteran that back in the day was compared to HOF Mike Schmidt. The Shockers can only hope this vet can bring the magic back outta the bag and hit the way they all know he can, and they hope he is a much need presence in the locker room to bring the quickly young turning Shockers together seeing of late some position players are having the case of running their mouths off.

Tony Kornheiser Reports: Good Night Canada

Buster Olney Reports: That there are major rumblings in and outside of Shocker clubhouse that the eventual return of the much famed and maligned Kenny Lofthouse will have to be a wait and see process. According to a source "quite frankly if there is a poster child of someone who has either missed a few cycles, or gotten off of the juice completely Kenny Lofthouse may be turning into Kenny Powers." Olney states - Shockers can only hope that the recent weight/muscle mass loss will not have any adverse effects on the Shockers hope of winning the remaining tournaments the rest of the year.

Jayson Stark is following up on a previous report from John Kruk regarding the potential "devastating loss" of the midseason silver slugger winner. Stark states - This has the makings of a devastating injury on all fronts. But it begs the question "with the player being so young and already facing such a serious injury the question must be asked are we witnessing another making of Nomar Garciaparra? While never proven that Nomar took HGH, speculation has run rampant that the young Shocker is well on his way down this path."

Steve Phillips reports - Steve Phillips is hearing rumblings around from GM's that the Shockers may be secretly trying to trade or sell off their starting pitcher to a bevy of teams. Phillips states "I have heard that Grumpy Grimace for a case of beer and a GG jersey for the much maligned pitcher Jerrys Kids has made a recent inquiry reagrding him but found the asking price to high in return of 2 cases of beer, and a newly redisgned JK jersey - quote a unnamed source "2 cases of beer and a new jersey for this guy? We already have an over the hill pitcher who cant move because of bad knees." The Shockers can only hope that this recent revelation does not hurt the team chemistry or tears apart the very fabric that holds this team together.

Ron Burgundy signing out: "Stay classy San Diego!"
