| My opinions:
St. Louis Park is the defending champs and rightly so they should be in the #1 spot followed closely by Minnetonka. After that the rest of the Riverview conference is battling it out for the 3rd spot.
Overall the St. Paul Conference is the toughest this year. They have some good teams at the top battling for the conference championship.
Park National has some good teams at the top but then they start to fall in comparison to the Riverview.
The Skyline Conference doesn't seem to impress me all that much and it's probably because I know the least about this conference. I see most of this conference as underdogs when playoffs start but Green Mill seemed to surprise everyone last year. We'll see what happens when August gets here.

| I just want to point out that Sport & Spine beat Wesley, Tonka, Green Mill, and Pub this year. The St. Paul league is by far the toughest in the Metro when you consider that there are 5 legit state tourney title contenders. Air Freight, Shamrocks, Commanding Edge, Sport & Spine, and Rosetown.
In my opinion Sport & Spine is also better then Rosetown and should be in the top 10.
I'll wait to be roasted by the Tonka and Park jersey chasers now.

| Sport & Spine did lose to the Rocks, but they CRUSHED the Lakers.
Give them their due respect!

| Veteran - These rankings are mainly based on league records and people that I've talked to in different leagues. Please take them with a grain of salt. I've talked to a few players from the St. Paul conference and they have all said that Sport N' Spine is competitive but are not one of the elite teams.
In my opinion there are a lot of teams that do not play their best nine when facing a non-league opponent. Therefore it is hard to judge whether most non-league games really define who is better.

| I agree with the Vet. Sport & Spine has found a way to get it done this year again - though Wesley had a slow start and Pub had not been playing well pretty much all year. They are(similar) the Lakers of the P-Nash and Edina/Hopkins(though down this year) of the Riverview - and do deserve props. Rosetown seemed down this year, but they are wiley veterans who have been to the tourney 10+ years in a row until last, so they are going to be tough to beat come playoff time. The St Paul League is tough this year, however, 5 LEGIT Tournament contenders may be a stretch! And yes the Park/Tonka JCs are going to come after you Vet. But with all due respect, imagine if you were an ex-pro they would just sign you to their club/s - so I guess they have some room to talk. Just an outsiders opinion. Good luck to all teams/players down the stretch.

| In the state tourney, its usually the case that the weaker teams get weeded in the early rounds. When the tournement then leaves Tonka's home field at Veterans and moves to Miday, you will see the best baseball. When there are 8 teams left, take a look and see what leagues they are in. If the riverview only has 2 teams left, Park-Tonka, the Skyline will have 1 team left, and either St. Paul or Park Nat'l will have the most teams remaining. Therefore, settling the argument on what league is the best overall, top-to-bottom. BUT- that doesn't mean that a team full of ex-professional ball players, major AND minor leaguers can't win it all!.....again

| Tom - In defense of the Riverview... It's hard for the rest of the Riverview to be noticed when you have the top two teams dominating all year long. They're just that good and it will show come August. Also I'm not sure how all conferences do it but the Riverview only sends three teams.
I don't think whichever conference has the most teams left in the top 8 is a fair indicator of which conference is toughest top to bottom. One can only speculate...

| Tom- What does playing at the Miller's home park, "The Vet," or playing at Midway have to do with anything? I would imagine the better teams might be revealed when there are nothing but true hops only to be found on turf. Hard to point a finger at a rock when there aren't any. We can all agree that Midway is nice, but it is a flat out liability to play at Dunning.
To everyone- What's all the fuss about who has the better league? When the champions leave the field in August, do you think they will be thinking about how great their league is?....or how great their TEAM is? I would guess the latter.

| Field is a bad excuse.. best team will be there in the end. One thing I think we can all agree on is that the best amatuer baseball in MN is played in the Metro Area - Class A. So stay classy fellas - and remember we are only 2-3rds of the way through this marathon.

| From what i've seen out of Sport & Spine this year, there have been a few close hard games as there league losses. They seem to always play hard game with every team they play no matter the team. Put up alot of runs and play solid D. a Very strong team that will definately make a strong push after a few tough ones lately.

| Looks like Air Freight laid an egg last night against a short handed Highland team. Rumor has it they didn't take the loss very well.

| Stockmen's Irish has a nice, well balanced squad this year. Their achilles heel is pitching. Beyond Brandon Wolf (who is easily a top 10 pitcher in class A) there's a pretty big drop-off in consistency. If the Irish could scrounge up a second or third starter they'd be very tough to beat.
