| Is maintaining the website and updating stats something that is suppose to get done for every game, or just if someone has free time to do it..? It is hard to evaluate performance when only some games are accurately recorded. I hate to go 6 for 7 with a HR and 2 doubles and no one imputs it, then not play so well in the next game and that gets put in. Is maintaining this website part of our membership fee?

| It's something that I've had the scorekeepers try to do their best at since I've taken over the league. I created a website which was never here before and standings and stats are kept the best they can be.
This will probably be the last league that stats are kept on the website. It's really just not worth it and if teams want to keep their stats, they can.

| its a shame that dan had the stats kept and then put on this site and now its not going to happen anymore. why isn't it you must be wondering?? its because of crybabies. so what if there a little late. at least it does get done. and since you guys want to cry about it, now were not going to have any stats at all. good job crybabies. this isn't MLB.

| I hate to see posts like this, all complaining about trivial things get accomplished is that they get taken away from everyone. To answer your question no your league fee does not pay for stats to be updated they pay 8.50 (minimum wage for the hour they're doing it)for a scorekeeper to be at your game to stop the arguments that would surely arise between 2 teams about the score.
Hopefully when these stats are taken away from us next year we will still get a scorekeeper at our games to have a official score. So I don't have to rip pages out of my book and give them to someone so hopefully the scores get posted before they get lost.
If you want to know your stats keep them, your team should be keeping a book anyway so google stat software and do it yourself. If you want them online then there are several free sites that you can keep an entire teams stats up for the world to see.

| Look, I agree that it sucks the way the stats are kept. They aren't accurate, sometimes they're not even close. If they are not going to be accurate then what exactly is the point of having them posted.
But having said that it really is not the league or Dan's job to keep them. So some of you guys can take your lips off of Dan's rear end and stop defending him because he is a grown man and doesn't need your help. But I will definitely agree that he has indeed done a lot of positive things since taking over. And I don't hold a grudge against the score keepers either because it's not like they make their living from keeping score at a rec league softball games. It's just the way it is. And it won't bother me if they stop keeping them because our team keeps them ourselves and we don't count errors as hits, etc. It's done accurately.
As for the guys complaining that this isn't the MLB...well, you are right. Maybe you guys and others should keep that in mind when playing in games because the players in this league have gotten way to serious about it. More than likely the people telling others to stop whining about the stats are the same guys who yell at outfielders when they hit a ball over the outfielders head who might have been playing them too far in. Or getting bent out of shape because of an umpires call. Perhaps using profanity laced tirades when children are present, regardless whose children they are, they are still kids. Maybe screaming like a bunch of banshees and chanting after beating a team by the 20 run rule. Don't those things seem a bit, well, stupid.
So anyone criticizing people for complaining about stats should shut their mouths and think about these childish behaviors first.

| OK, I thought it was a simple enough question is this a service we paid for, or is it an extra perk? Well apparently the answer is that it is an extra perk. Simple enough. Question answered. BTW complaining about people complaining is still complaining.....

| You pay for a scorekeeper. The individual stats being kept on the website are just an extra that I think people have gotten used to over the past 4 years and expect it now.
