Hogs Swine Flu

The Hogs just beat WB Township tonight 4-2 behind ace pitcher Chris Peterson and closer Tom. With Tom coming off the bench closing games out making Joe Nathan look weak in the All-Star game. The WB players looked silly trying to hit side arm curve balls moving 12 inches across the plate. Also, with a huge 2 rbi hit by Dan Schober, and outstading defense all around it was no contest. This is the Hogs 9 straight win and the team is peaking at the perfect time looking to go very deep in the playoffs this yr. With the young lineup, and vetran leadership from players such as DH Ryan Antilla it is no suprise the success the team is having. Also, shortstop Jeff Ostrom has established himself as one of the most solid infielders in the league rarly making a mistake. Just thought I would let you know that the Hogs have been spreading the swine flu all over the league making teams sick after games end. GO HOG WILD!

Oh man, the Hogs string of good luck has just ended with that post. I predict they don't win a game the rest of the season.

Typical post from a young club however some have said basically as have I......

They are young, have a couple arms, are very confident, some times don't know any better, very aggessive at the plate, they are fast and you know what they have nothing to loose in the grand scheme of things.

Two give aways to Park and two close games to Tonka all four resulting in losses.

Yet if they do get hot they will become even more confident and then perhaps when they are ahead late in games they will be too confident to give them away when they should not have.

Riverview Playoffs and three teams to state to be continued. Yet it will undoubtedly be three of these four (Tonka, Park, Edina and the Hodags...whatever a hodag is)

Then again what if Rudd gets talked in to pitching for Richfield as he just retired from the Saints......doubtful but just the same could be a very interesting Riverview playoffs.

It's fun getting excited about beating a below .500 team, isn't it?

Nice to see a 4-2 win being "no contest" and that you don't know your closer Tom's last name...

I think you have to go to Rhinelander for a Hodag!

So, how did the Hogs do against Woodbury in the first round of the Skyline playoffs? Haven't seen any scores in the paper.
