| This week everyone is playing at home. However, it is considered a home game for one team and a road game for the other.
This is important because the Home team must line the field and has been issued the umpire money.
The HOME teams this weekend are
PNA
Moulton
Pub
Doorley
Club Jogues
Eaton
Shamrock
Stallions have bye vs. in and out
It might also bring up a dug out issue, but I think we can all work it out in a civilized, professional manner.

| all the leagues and tournaments ive played in its been first come first serve but if someone wants to be a pussy about it call me and let me know before i put my shit in a dugout because im not moving .

| I wasnt there, so,,,, while you know I love you artie...and respect you...you were wrong sunday and you are wrong just now calling my team pussys...since not once in the 6 or 7 years that I have participated in Coventry softball has one team glombed another teams established home field dugout I have to say your actions are unprecedented...albeit, I believe that your intentions were humourous and it just wasnt taken that way . When it went over like a lead balloon perhaps you should have backed off. I understand now that you felt you had to dig your heels in after a couple a " dbags" and " fbombs" were thrown your way.. Besides, your team is younger in better shape and in less need of shade by the way. Had Stevens made the game he would have suffered heat stroke for certain..............

| bobby read the post in softball there is no rule about dugouts we were there first we took a dugout and thats it . every other league first come first serve is how it goes. i didnt point out any specific person but if your gonna whine about a dugout your a pussy .

| sis if you guys want a dugout just have EW text me which one ? i prefer 3b to be closer to the team when i coach 3b but it doesnt really matter . but once i get my gear in that mofo its mine . see ya sunday.

| I hate to say it but artie does have a point about every other league having the first come first serve rule for the dugouts. When he is right he is right. But, our league has some unique unwritten rules that most of us respect week in week out for years. Visting teams gets the trees and bugs at Jogues. Home team gets first base and shade at Foster. Rob Raymond gets whatever he wants whenever he wants it. PNA gets to reschedule for the PNA tournament and on and on. I still think artie had to know that it would irritate combustible Jeff and I really think that extra pissiness had a hand in the sweep. And who would want to take a chance on pissing off the keenan brothers?

| the sweep was because most of our guys played like shit plain and simple. there was no plan to take the dugout on purpose and no edge given. WE SUCKED ERRORS WALKS AND LACK OF TIMELY HITTING WE SUCKED !! ricky showed he had a set of balls and played with a busted ankle and kicked us in the dick . we have sucked for the past 2 weeks and thats all there is to it . if we play that way sunday its gonna be 7 in a row .

| Make it a written rule that home team gets to choose. I know I want the shade and big rock to sit on at Foster. I expect to be in the woods at Jogues and Washington oak. And on the first base side with no shade at Nike. It might actually be a homefield advantage.
And while I am on my bylaws rant can we please stop running out home runs at all. Hit the thing and go to the bench. What really is the point of going to first?

| we have rotated at foster with the home team taking the first base side. i missed last years matchup so i dont know . if you want a dugout get there early and take it . way too much confusion because every team feels diferently.

...For somebody who is on the verge of dropping seven straight and playing half of his old team, I wouldn't be pissing in the PNA's cornflakes and give them any extra reason to want to lay down a beating. I would be more worried about getting my guys on the same page and show up and play the way that the DUB can. It's just a bench, does it really matter?

| Wow. We are actually arguing about dugouts. This must be an all time low. I can't think of many things I care about less than which dugout I have at a softball game. I got there right at 10:00 and didn't even realize there was a dust up about it. I mean, really. If you are going to get upset about which dugout you have or if you think you can get in a teams head by "taking" their dugout, that's just plain fucked up. I know I'm old, but some of you guys need to just grow up.

Well said I think the league should rename itself something like the Coventry Pissing and Moaning League, umpires, dugouts, schedules.
Last I checked Sunday morning was for relaxation and to have a good time ball busting with your own teammates and opponents.
On another note looking for players for the over 35 States and Worlds, Guapo and Ryno get in touch with me I have some of my guys plus Broz, Lance and Beaver although he doesn't know it yet

| Mike- If you do take the 3rd base dugout be careful just to the right of the woods...that is where I normally take my Sunday morning shit. I haven't shown up in about 4 weeks so the pile should have worn down a bit with all the rain.

| Demonti can see the future. He predicted that I would be there to take on the Doorley Insurance boys..and he was right....and with McGrath Demonti and Walker there we had 3 of my fav league personalities. Now it seems I am showing up and stevens isnt...and its not as fun...Big Bri..we have just a few weeks left so lets amp it up for the playoff run...me and you got first base coaches box and Big Shot Bags takes 3rd...hes old but hes mangy and I aint coaching 3rd if he wants it. And he blasted a lefthanded double over right fielders head yesterday..he still brings it in the clutch. Besides, no Stevens means no Kerri..so...start showing up!!!
