| Wesley Homes vs Cobras- Very interesting match up. The Cobras started the season on fire and had them #4 in state early on. The injury to ace Matt Germar sent them into a long slump but have been playing well lately. The two teams split during the season. Wesley Homes is dangerous and looks like they have been dominating there opponents down the stretch which is why i have them #2. I will give the edge and pitching depth, return of Christian Blanck to Wesley in a close series 2-1.
Lakers vs Lyons Pub- Another great series on paper. The Lakers have been a big surprise with a 23-8 record finishing 2nd. On the other hand Lyons Pub has been somewhat of a dissapointment. The 2 teams split during the season and have to give the edge to the Pub squad who has the same team that made a deep run in state last season 2-1. I think the Pub has more offensive weapons but better get hot as the Lakers are a scrappy bunch.
Angels vs Rocks- Angels swept the regular season, and although there offense is down have 2 great arms in Ginther and Naegli. Rocks are somewhat inconsistant and can score in bunches but seem to play tight when it matters, and dont remember them getting to state ever. This year is no different. I expect it to go to 3 games as well but give the edge to the veteran Angels.
