| Rough day for Erie teams as I think they all went 2&Q except for Sprikmans.
They were 2-1 on Saturday. They won their first game today and were winning the second game when play was halted because of rain. Play will resume at 2:30.

| congrats to sprickmans, who placed 2nd in the state tournament. I had the pleasure of playing with them, unfortunately i was hurt and couldnt play sunday. Great group of guys, and a great sponsor who made the experience totally awesome. Mark Sprickman, my hats off to you, you pitched awesome!!!

| And correction about my Erie team results. Topps (from the old Millcreek league) also did well...taking 5th.
Sprickmans team did play well, congrats to them. 6-2 on the weekend.

| wanted to thank all my guys for a great weekend, it was a hell of a run. I also want to send an extra thank you out to tim and robbie you guys were big time this weekend. Thank You again to everyone that stepped on the field this weekend, this is just the begining.

| When i saw the big bus pull up and like 20 dudes come off from Hazelton i would have bet the farm they were gonna walk right through the field. what was there problem ? anyone have a clue ? they just had the look like they were gonna outmatch everyone..

| they had no pitching what so ever, they also never really pushed the play and made people throw them out. i really think they thought they were gonna hit a millon homers and walk away with it. small ball kills

| Congrats to Sprickman's...and I see in an earlier post that Bison Bulls took 3rd? They beat us in the Championship in B 3 years ago. Wonder why they are now playing C?

| I will say this about Bisons.....the pitcher that started vs sprickmans in the losers bracket finals was awful. He didnt attempt anything but a lob over the plate. He also couldnt field, I think something had to happen for them to get that far and not have a real pitcher.
That team from Hazelton was a sight to see. They had all 20 guys allowed, matching uniforms that looked brand new, and a charter bus that I estimate to cost about $3,000 for the weekend. They did drills when they warmed up and every single guys was dominican. Before the game started, you had to assume they would whoop everyones ass.
Sprickmans went 1-2-3 in the top of first and Hazelton's leadoff guy hit a bomb that one-hopped into 11th street field. But then Sprickmans scored about 8 or 9 in the 2nd inning and put them to sleep.
By the way Benson, Unwired was also there and they were "A" just a few years ago.
Doesnt matter now.....Yackos, Sprickmans, Bisons, and Unwired all got moved up to B for next season.

| Benson good question that team has beeen around a very long time i think they won A in the late 90's
they keep themselves very low key and sneak in to tourneys like they did this past weekend.i think they havea good rep with Guy

This is by far not the same Unwired team that played in A several years ago. That team broke up and most of the players went to the Chicora League. We have one player from that team- Rudy Freshwater. We were happy to take Unwired's sponsorship. We are the old Vision/Merchant team from the Fieldhouse league. the same team that went 0-2 last year in C's, but got a little hot this weekend.

| yeah, I figured that might be the case. That happens a lot when guys change teams, etc. Unwired as gave our team fits, congrats on a good tournament
