Riverview All Stars trounce the Park National All Stars 10-8. That means that obviously the Riverview is a better league...

I'd like to thank Joe Shallenbunyon and his best friend that lives on his face known as Beardly, for showing me and my pitiful team mate (you know who you are) how to hit home runs. I'd like to thank Denny Scanlon for putting me at a position I haven't played in 17 years. I'd like to thank Brandon Broxey for reminding me that pitchers actually CAN field their position, and lastly, that kid from West side who beat out an infield hit, allowing me to hit, and get out, for the second time. Good times...

I was very impressed with the tremendous intensity that the riverview league had. They once again have proven that they have the greatest league in the great state of minnesota. In my opinion the park national league lacked talent and depth. The score may have said it was a close game but in reality the riverview league out played the park national league in every aspect of this wonderful game of baseball.

no, no, no. Mittens was not in the derby. But our terrific first baseman was, who finished just short of beating Chuck Norris in the finals.

And no, 10-8 is not a trounce. You of all people should know sarcasm when you read it, OT...

I am a young kid who was in the crowd at the All-Star game last night and it was fun. HR derby was awesome! The Riverview did look a little better than the League from the City. Shallemberger is real good and he hits it a long ways. A real crowd pleaser, that guy.

There was one guy on that team though that I cant believe was there: #15 for the St. Louis Park team... He pitched later in the game and looked really bad - actually he looked like he should have been playing in a aluminum bat league. SLP has to have a better pitcher than him. can anyone tell me his name and why was he in the All-Star game? maybe his teammates felt bad for him? or maybe his family was there from out of town? then again, I'm just a kid so what do I know.

Park has guys opt out of the all star stuff from time to time for varying reasons.

Such as but not limited to wanting to not play in a game and take some time off prior to the tourney.

As far as their pitchers.......they would have their reasons for sending whomever they sent. They may have their guys lined up how they want them to and some may not have wanted to throw in the all star game.

I know who #15 is but even a 13 year old (hahahaha lol) can go look up a roster to see what number a certain player wears.

If he did have a bad looking outing all I can say is that there is not one bad pitcher on Park although just like on other clubs some of their guys are better then others....

...not one team in the state can match up to Parks lefty, righty, lefty 1-2-3 punch. Not in A, B or C

i didnt even think of looking at their website - my mom's computer is really slow and she wont hurry up with the MEATLOAF!! ma dammit - meantloaf!!!!

ah yes - Pete Fuller. i will assume the other guys on the team decided not to play so they let him in. My traveling team could hit him - maybe not with wood, nonetheless, we are considered the best in our age group by me. (Some would say I will fit right in with the Riverview someday!)

I imagine the same thing COULD be true for the City squad (as far as the best players not actually being in the game). Therefor I may be a litte green behind the ears but that game may not have been a great determination of the best League.

I cant wait to see the upcoming games. My bet is on Wesley - never seen them play, but the housing market is coming back and they are in for another BOOM just like 4 four years ago!!!!

Nope, Riverview is better based on the simple fact that they won. Didn’t you know that’s how we determine which league is superior? I base my opinions on what people write on the Minnesota Class A Amateur Baseball Forum, and events such as the home run derby and all star game. Not even a remote bit of sarcasm in the initial post. It’s as serious as a Cole Nelson fastball…

No, if the Skyline and St Paul leagues are included, it's official. Garven got in based on a Mighty Ducks theme at the game.

if st paul put an all star team together it would wipe either one out with ease. everyone knows the most and best ball is played in the quadrant bordered by marshall on the north. dale to the east. ford pkwy to the south and cretin ave on the west. M MAN

Saint Paul should go out and put together a team. To my knowledge St. Paul has been asked to be included in the past...even a three team tournament one year I believe.

Perhaps St. Paul and the Skyline should stop pooping off and work with the Riverview and PN to set up a four team all star gig.

Park National or Riverview all star teams separtely would beat a combined SP/SL league all star team 2/3 every time.

It's TWO leagues, Old Timer. St Paul and Skyline. Not one. Maybe St Paul/Skyline vs Park/Riverview?
