| On Sunday August 23rd 2009 we will be playing the Civil war games GHLKFFL against GCFFA. New Haven top 4 teams vs Hartford top 4 teams. These games will be played at Colts Park in Hartford starting at 9:00am. Single elimination winner takes all. The format for that day is Htfd. #1 team Vs New Haven #4 team, New Haven #1 team vs Htfd. #4 team, Htfd #2 vs New Haven #3, and New Haven #2 vs Htfd. #3, then move on just like the NCAA tournament the winner takes all. The civil War Trophy 2009.
In playing this game hopefully we can start a rivalry that we can play every year for bragging State rites.
We are always looking for suggestions for more fun activities, if you have an idea feel free to contactme.

| The Bulldogs were not informed about this in anyway but on the message board and will not be playing in these games. Now if this was done the right way we might of had time to get my yeam in this event.
We will be playing this season and look forward to the fall season.

| Well got to love the shit talking in this league, thats why we play the game. Good luck to all teams this season, and stay healthy.
We will never hang it up. We play anywhere, travel everywhere and have fun playing the sport we all love.
Keep the hate coming, that means were doing something right.
Makes you think! Why the only team that always travels to Nationals won a free bid to Nationals. LOL Makes you think doesn't it.

| yeah ya won a free bid in the open division (losers bracket). and ya go to nationals every year cuz ya got no f**ckin lives. so nice ya scared to play this weekend. and i heard the chrgers is playin this weekend. theres no way they finished in the top 4. but thats wat happends when the commish runs his own league..

| makes you think.. wonder if the bulldogs lost on purpose in tourny to win a free bid to nationals. almost like thery were saying to their selves " hey we got no shot to win this tourny cuz we stink. lets lose on purpose to win a free bid" no disrespect to the whalers but i think the bulldogs a better then them.. you guys are a bunch of lil girls. go play co-ed..

| Man on the Pills!! We got no fu*&ing lives but you are on this board far more than any player!Seems to me you are the one that needs something to do playa. Is there any team that you haven't beat up and talked shit on? Why watch if you think we all suck anyway? For the record that Whalers team that beat us played well the whole tournament and made alot of noise that weekend. we didn't lay down, they took it to us. No shame in regrouping and winning on sunday either. Hope you fall down the hill and break your neck this weekend! That would be some funny shit

| what "whaler team"......that team was "danny-o's," anyway- Ray Long must be on the pill too he's putting together a round robin (civil tourny) and not notifying anyone not even the captains of the teams, (whats wrong with that man)this weekend isnt going to happen, the grass wont be cut, the refs will be drunk, the fields wont be ready (painted), and it'll be disorganized. this is what we think of when it comes to hartford flag football especially at colt park.....could i be wrong-absolutely, but judging by how Ray is handling this now i have every reason to believe im right........... only time will tell

| I don't normally respond or even post on this board, and don't know why i do now.
The Bulldogs have won the respect of every team we play against. You can ask just about anyone in CT's top teams what they think of the Bulldogs team and how they act on and off the field. I can tell you this when your team lines up across from us on the field you know that you have a battle on your hands (if you even have a team or just a computer and a view from atop of the hill with the other no name bums).
Yes this game is about chips, and we have a few, all in 8man. We are new to 9man in this being our third season of 9man coming this fall. But in my eyes i play to win every game just as the team that lines up across from us.
As for the post about us traveling. The Bulldogs Travel normally 2 times each year once in the summer then down to Nationals in the winter. So we have no life, why because we want to compete with different teams at the highest level. Why talk shit about people you don't even know anything about.
Well i'm looking forward to this season in Hartford. Good luck to all ct teams this fall season and stay healthy.

| danny o's and the whaler team are different and the whaler beat bulldogs. they are a good team we have alot of respect for them . alot of team iin the hartford league never beat them.

| YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!! And if we knew we would fix it. The reality is we are 12 or 13 guys that ball together and aren't half bad. We aren't deep enough or big enough to make deep runs on a consistant basis in 9-man tournaments. We have faced and beaten alot of the big boys, we just aren't one of them. No excuses, just reality. To be at the top of 9man you gotta recruit, steal and pay players, lie and cheat!!! Thanx for the concern Ct. Fan, we will be alright... see you soon
