| Adams hosting Birmingham Brother Rice
This 2 teams have a habit of introducing themselves in the playoffs on the way to a state championship. The games are always closely contested. BBR comes in after a blowout victory 35 to 7 over the KLAA North Champs Walled Lake Central. Adams comes in after struggling with an upset minded Fenton Team. Adams staged an intense 4th qtr comeback to win game and sealed it with a tenacious defensive performance stopping Fenton 4 time inside the 10 yard line with seconds remaining in the game. BBR has the momentum with their solid win while Adams proves they can come back to win a game with their backs against the wall. Here are some quick comments:
- Adams must control the tempo of this game with their ball controlling ground attack.
- Adams does not want BBR to get an early lead in this game.
- Adams secondary to be tested all night as BBR will pass thru out the game.
- Adams should be able to minimize BBRs ground game and force them to the air.
- Adams must get pressure on BBRs 2 QBs and not let them get comfortable.
- BBR has gone to a 2 QB system which may hurt them in a tight game.
- Adams must minimize turnovers to win a close game.
- Kicking game (punting and field goals) could make the difference in a close game.
- Adams should mix the pass in to keep the BBR defense honest.
- Adams On 1st or 2nd and short look for that open receiver for a long gainer.
_ Halftime score will be a great barometer
_ Adams has been strong defensively in the 2nd half all year so a halftime lead is HUGE.
The winner will be detemined an the field tonight and may the best team win and advance to Regionals..Im hoping it is the Rochester Adams Highlanders.
