| As always, a big shout out goes to all of the semi-final teams for making it to Championship Sunday. All of the games were good and the cream rose to the top in both Championship games.
OPEN FINALS:
Deep Impact defeated We'R'One in the first semi-final as the defense held on 4th and goal from the 5 yard line. In the second semi-final game, the Pitbulls got by High Impact (that was one hard hitting game). The Championship game was high scoring as both offenses were on fire. With the Pitbulls leading 21-20 with a few minutes left, QB J.R. (MVP) drove the big red machine down to the Pitbulls 7 yard line and kicked the game winning field goal as time expired for a 23-21 victory.
PRO FINALS:
What can you say, those youngins from Evens and Odds stayed steady and knocked off the DC Dolphins in the first semi-final game. The DC Jets and Elite had another one of their battles in the other semi-final with the Jets holding off Elite's last minute charge for the win. Now the Championship game has to be one for the books. Evens and Odds frustrated the Jets the entire game and were winning 8-6 with 4 seconds left in the game, with the Jets in possession of the ball at midfield. Mr Magic (Wayne Wonderful) looked left the threw a perfect strike right down the far right sideline to a streking Jerron Chaney-Bey (Offensive MVP) for the game winning TD as time expired for 12-8 victory. DB Emery Lane was the Defensive MVP for the Jets with 2 huge interceptions.
"THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE ELY" somebody shouted. The Allstar events will take place on December 6, 2009.......the week after the "Gimme Da Loot" tournament (that info will be posted later tonight).
