If I didnt know better I would say that Josh Dionne was chirping in Belichek's headsite last night.." go for it go for it" because the last sports related decision that was that poor was " Baxter, Team Dionne selects Washinton Oak as their home field" . Poor Hove is about 40 hrs and two championships behind in career stats because of that decision.

Wow lb4lb. I honsetly can't say i totally disagree with the call belicheck made. If they had gotten the first down everyone would have said it was the best play calling in history. Either way Manning just like Brady is capable of bringing a team 100 yards in 3 or 4 plays it was a chance that didn't pay off this time.

Hey dutilly im still waiting for my bat

ANT..you missed the point. That was the build up to the Dionne joke. However, regarding the game, even for Manning against a the Pats D driving 80 yards is harder than driving 29 yards.

Lb4LB i agree with you on Josh's decision on home field it killed Hov's average although i have told him numerous times he lets that field get into his head watching him play at foster vs washington oak is like Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde

I don't understand this whole poor Hov at washington thing..... i mean are you kidding me? Did anyone ever measure out how far it is to those trees in left at washington? I would venture to say they aren't even 330 feet away from home plate. I know for a fact that Hov can hit it 330 feet. So what is the issue?

Very small margin of error though. Gotta put it right down the line. A better bet would be learning how to poke it about 240 to the opposite field. Oh, and remembering to not touch first with your bat in hand would also help.

Ernie, couls have used you at City Park for the Gophers last weekend. Be honest, had you known those guys were all gonna get hammered and not truly try you would have played with us no???

Gaupo...As good as Ernie is, he is only 1 person. We played VERY WELL as a team but with EW we would have even been a better one. Lb4Lb ( a.k.a bobbyson) put a good team together as he usually does.

I would move home fields but the one's with a left field fence are all taken by teams who are higher on the seniority list than me, could go back to playing at Foster at 12 but that sucks. So any other ideas Lb4Lb? Next year I'll take any field with no fence and Lb4Lb buys a fence for it? Not many options with the fields we have.

heres one for you, has anyone ever seen hove hit it right of left center? and can hinske, hove, ricky or tommy keenan hit it 330? how bout hittn a fuckin line drive somewhere, a gap and run for 3 days at the oak. all just excuses as to why we shit the bed that year. word on the street is it was my fault we lost that season because i talked josh in to picking that field. funny part about it is is that in a game both teams play on the same field last time i checked, and the other team sure as shit had no problem hittn fuckin line drives or hittn gaps or hittn it 330 or hitting it 240 to right, so is their any one else from that blow bar team that wants to pipe up and come up with another scenario as to why we couldnt win on that field?
excuses excuses excuses, drive me fuckin nuts, have some balls and man up and agree it had jack shit to do with the field we played on but the personnell we had on the field and how none of us could play together worth of shit. im so fuckin sick of people blaming the field, its the stupidest fuckin reason ive ever heard of and so wrong.

You're absolutely right Timebomb. The field shouldn't matter cause both teams have to deal with its advantages and disadvantages. The teams that have played at that field as their home field have always had no problem playing there. Moulton, JR's one year, VFW always plays well there as well as everywhere else.

I have trouble playing at Washington Oak because the grass between the bases slows me down. With speed being a big part of my game that place just doesn't work for me either.

Gopher, you missed my point. I know EW always plays to win and the guys he played with on that particular day had another agenda. Not that playing to have a blast and get drunk in a Turkey Trot is a bad thing. I fully support it, but I just know it had to be eating Ernie up.

It'so easy to hit the other way in softball. Just turn your whole body when the pitch is in the air and swing like normal. So basically RF becomes CF. I never could understand why guys can't do that.

PS I took the day off and played golf and I'm drunk.

good hitters will hit at any field , yes having a 270 ft wooby is better than 285 but you have all season to adjust. washington oak is 285 to left not 330 . it looks so deep bc RF is only 235. i know LB4LB will disagree but HRs are overated. the two years we won the game winning hits were singles by the silent assasin. clutch hitting not power hitting wins games.

as far as the 4 and 2 its the regular season . sometimes you try things that you will not do in the playoffs . bc the the playoffs are the only thing that matters .

We measured it a few yrs back... Beleive it was on like 310....and the right feild fence is what hurts ya... Gatorade and fig newtons and a 130lb lefty will make ya loose a playoff game... Jr's vs bothelo insurance 4 yrs ago
