I heard a rumor that St. Louis Park wanted nothing to do with you b/c you were a liability. Too old to play with the real men of genious. So you had to go and play some "B" ball with Chaska. I am pretty sure whenever my team plays St. Louis Park there is always an over 40 league that plays before. It looks real competitive for a guy like you. You might even start in that league. Why would you go play for Chaska and sit the bench all year. Thoughts?

Oh "the 17" of it.....you trying to get an OG all riled up there young pup? If so you should know it is not going to work. With that being said solid pimp post just the same although my feelings are still intact.

Continuing let me say what was discussed between Park and myself will stay that way. However I will say I loved my baseball role on their club, they are my boys and have been for years.

My role as a specialty relief guy would be obvious on a team of that caliber however they travel all over the place and to spend upwards of six hours per game to throw specialty just did not make sense any longer.

Plus my family and I moved to Savage so I am now in the "B" loop of things.

As far as being too old to pitch for SLP I thought everyone thinks most of that club/my former club/my former boys are old why would 41 be too old to pitch for Park?

As far as the 40+ league it is actually the 35 and over league and I pitched in it last year a great deal with the Mtka. Lakers. Threw about 70 innings or so honestly because I just could not commit to the rigors of an SLP schedule.

It was ok but I said it before and I will say it again the 35+ clubs from Woodbury, Cold Spring, Burnsville, and Mtka Lakers in August would be better then atleast the bottom four Class A teams in the tourney.

Above an beyond that there are several pitchers older then me and including myself that would easily pitch for puke "A" teams who think they are good in the "A" tourney.

If you don't beleive me go do some research and ask around to those who actually know what they are talking about.

As far as Class B I may be mistaken but I presume you think B is worse then A because it comes after the letter "A" in the alphabet. If that is what you think then you are truly clueless.....the top ten "B" teams without draft choices would wax the mid to lower level "A" tourney teams....

.....ever hear of guys like Siefert, Zachow, Bohnsack, Hollingswith ect? Probably not.

Regarding whatever role I may have on the bench of the Chaska Cubs I can say that I would rather sit on their bench and do absolutely nothing then pitch for a bunch of junk A teams who think they are good and are intact clubs who finish five games above .500 in the MIAC.

Whatever role I fill on the Cubs will be my pleasure and one that I earn. Also it will be one that would be far better then being 3 or 4 on some puke A club who actually thinks they are good.

Peaaaaaaace Daaawg.....got any thing else for me?

OG

I fell asleep after your first paragraph, so I am not sure what you wrote.

From what I do remember, there was a lot of boring information along with some name dropping of names that I have never heard of, especially considering that it was more that 2 decades ago.

You don't need to get your belly band in a bundle. Just like to get these conversations going early and often.

Look forward to talking to you (and about you) a lot this summer. It is going to be another great year.

Peace Out

17 atleast you admit to limited personal knowledge on the subject of town ball around here.....

If that was not the case then you would know that Siefert, Bohnsack and Zachow are PRESENTLY easily three of the top ten amatuer pitchers in the state.

For the record they are all better then me and pitch for Chaska, Jordan and Green Isle respectively.

Hollingswirth is PRESENLTY not to far out of probabaly the top ten pitchers in the state.

Just so you know they are all a far cry better then I am and my panties are not in a bunch as I apparently like the back and fourth atleast as much as you do.

Hope you and your club have a solid year. I should have plenty of time to read the paper about you guys while I am riding the pine out at Chaska.

Insti-gator/Conley - nice to see that you have moved up to Class B ball. First off - good for you. You will play in nice stadiums all season, while the rest of us "Class A Rube's" will have to play in our cement and rock infested fields in the City. Secondly, after all that talk the last two years of how much better Class A ball is than B or C (mainly C) - it is funny to now read that A is filled with piss ant, no winner clubs. Your moniker should be FRONT-RUNNER instead of insti-gator (which you have proven you are exceptional at, like sitting the bench, coaching 3rd and warming up the right fielder.) After-all whatever team or Class you are in is always the best in your mind....
Lastly, I was hoping that when you moved West and started installing tile for the "important people" you would leave us slum villagers to ourselves. I guess it doesnt matter if you are installing unglazed ceramic tile in North Mpls or mosaic tile in Chanhassen - you are still going to chat on this site, and all of Class A will still laugh at you! And, although you say that is why you are on here - we are not laughing with you, simply at your expense....

I will miss playing the team you are on as the fine China in Chaska is too high priced for a commoner like me....

For the record - Top 10 Class B teams would NOT "wax" the Top 10 Class A teams. actually this would make for a very good tournament. Im not sure where you get that idea.... You named 3 pitchers (ive played against them - they are good), but if thats how you explain a waxing then you are sounding very immature - as there is much more that goes into a quality team (you once understood this)...
Again, its funny because a year ago you would agree - but now since you are in B you will disagree(where ever you play is always the best and i understand that about you). What i cant figure out is why any good team would want you. all I'd want you for is to catch my good pitcher's bullpens........

sorry, the truth hurts sometimes!

Lanky I like the rib shots....seriously classic comments. I chuckle when I get people riled up enough to come at me and since no one seems to be able to actually figure out my motives I will explain yet again.

This is a forum. Sometimes there are serious discussions, other times people pimp one another, there are rumors, opinions, suggestions, rib shots, body blows, low blows and a host of other things because this is a forum.

I personally have fun trying to get people all waxed up regardless of what they read into what I write as far as tone goes.

Furthermore I have absolutely no problem taking shots from others due to many reasons but mainly because I sing it so when people bring it back to me I welcome the fun of all of it.

Bottom line is we all obviously love baseball that is a given.

I love watching any good baesball game and good players which there are plenty of good teams in A, B and C......honestly I don't think after the top five teams in the state (in my opinion) I could list any fewer then probably 50 other teams because there are many good teams and many good players.

In closing I take pleasure in getting certain people all jacked up on here and that is for one simple reason......most of the people who come on here to read stuff never write one single thing. They get a kick out of donkeys like me and whoever who just ramble on speaking jibberish.....after all that is what a large part of a forum such as this one actually is....

.....just a bunch of jibberish especially from a donkey like me.

Good luck to all teams this season!

One more thing...do you know what I would like? Is for more people to be a man like me and stop hiding behind their capes while they rip people in seriousness and in my case hurt feelings...

.....Im all choked up right now but atleast I can sign my real name on here.

Yeah right!!!! Bring it on rip away because that is the fun in some of this crap we waste our time typing.

Lanky I even read your last two posts again because they made me laugh.

Thanks.....good shots and funny stuff.

I need one more....you know what else Lanky? Where do you come up with your stuff?

I wrote the same crap last year about the bottom A teams, the top B teams, class C, the best 35 and over teams....same crap different day/year.

I write the same garbage every year.

As far as catching your good pitchers in pens I can't do that anymore because my knees and back hurt too much all the time plus I can't see any longer and I have no skill set to catch good pitchers.....my wrist may break in half.

I could catch your poor pitchers though if they did not mind me sitting on a bucket.

I have a better idea how about I stand in your pen and actually teach your guys the proper fundamentals of pitching that way I could garner some respect from you as I so yearn for that to be the case.

Keep hitting the long ball and flipping outs.

Your Huckelberry,

Don Conley

sorry - im not looking down posts from a year ago. But i am sticking with top 10 A teams and top 10 B teams would make for a great tournament (better than A or B on their own) - just saying....

Glad i could make you chuckle, after-all you are the reason i ever posted anything on here....

and for the record, you know who i am - so stop that hiding BS again.....
