| Ok, this was brought up last year after GDL. Why are we traveling to play each other....AGAIN? We basically do it in Orlando, Cleveland, Metro Cup, GDL and GDL VA Beach. For whatever reason we trying to dodge to 800lb gorilla in the room. Why are we not having some serious discussions about this as men? Reality check Yung Crew and Long Beach are playing in the other tournament. Why are we spending hard earned money to travel and play each other. Can I please get an honest reply from someone, I know I am not the only one with this thought. All the haters let it go, I want real talk.

| in terms of why go out of town to play each other. There are teams from other areas who participate in this tournament. The bigger benefit is that it gives your team a chance to bond on the road and build cohesiveness. It gives families a chance to get away to a nice atmosphere as well. This tournament is the midway point to nationals and gives your team a chance to check the commitment gauge and see who is all the way and who just has their toes in the water. Lastly your team will come out better in every aspect and if you have a good showing it builds confidence to let you know that you can go on the road and compete with the best of them. Just my 2 cents

| What???? No, the question should be ....why is Long Beach and Yung Crew not playing in the GDL? We are DMV football and we would rather battle each other on a road trip to the beach, than chase some chumps that's ducking all the bump that we have to offer. we dont give a damn about suckers that don't want this rec or the damn "U". GDL at the beach is our getaway andwe will have a ball no matter who comes to play with us or if nobody at all joins our party. It's on in a month "U" fake Ely Ely. Blind Draw 7 days prior to event (JUNE 19).
The Women's Division has expressed concerns with on-field refs payments, so we are moving to a Standard Entry Fee for the Ladies teams (I believe it will be $500).

| No matter who takes the field under the LBC name in Virginia, just like last year the real team from Long beach won't be there. So far there are only 2 guys from the team that are "talking" about making the trip. Just like last year, I am only interested in playing in the GDL event with all the DMV talent. I had the pleasure of hanging out with a few of the good bruthas at a sunday league game, and it was a real good look. Good luck and safe travels to all the teams making the trip.

| Long Beach won't be playing in either one of the events. There are a 2 or 3 guys that say they will make the trip out there, and if they do it will be to play with another team in the mcffu event. I can't speak for Yung Crew, but the mcffu has a a "hall of fame game" that they're advertising on their website which features Long Beach vs Yung Crew in Williamsburg Va. I'm here to tell you that LONG BEACH WON'T BE THERE! Now if they're lying to Yung Crew and telling them that the 2 or 3 guys from my team, and 20 random dudes from somewhere else is the REAL team from the LBC, then that's a whole 'nutha issue...

I know I am not the only one tired of this BS. Can we make this about football and not all this stuff that doesn't matter.
I took it upon myself to get in touch with Long Beach and Yung Crew. This is what I was told from Neil their coach. Long Beach is playing in Williamsburg. He specifically said he would never play with George after the Clan intentionally came over to the other tournament last year and tried to fight his team. He also said Airjoe does not speak for his team, they had 20 players at the last practice and will come to VA strong.
When I talked to Yung Crew, I think the guys name was Reggie. He said their team voted a few weeks ago and they are playing in Williamsburg. He said once they vote, they stick with their vote. I told him I heard they were 50%, he said they had completely made up their mind.
We had some good bump this weekend at the Cup, but I will ask the same question that I heard a few people ask this weekend and the same question I asked before. Why are we trying to play each other again at GDL? This is not making sense. I want good football with some diversity. I am getting old I want to play new comp. I am not hating on anyone and have no hate for anyone. I want DMV football to represent that we are the best against other areas. All this BS about someone ducking us is ridiculous we are all grown damn men nobody is ducking anything.

| Come on Champ you keep talking this and that, but you are not saying nothing. Nobody is ducking rec, nor is anybody going to jump through a hoop because 2 non-local teams are making plans to attend a tournament. First off, I don't even know Neil and have never even spoken to him (nothing ventured, nothing gained thus him and his team "NEVER" playing in our GDL events amounts to nothing). The teams in this area do a lot of traveling, so when they feel they want to play different teams, they would just simply hit the road to another USFTL Cup event - Detroit, Chicago, etc. I think it's prettty obvious that we love to compete against each other in the DMV - thus, the GDL was actually setup for the local teams. A few teams outside of the DMV wanted to party, so the event became open to all that wanted the challenge. No need to continue having this discussion cause teams going to williamsburg will be there because that's where they want to play - likewise for the GDL Teams. Not trying to be funny Ely Ely, but usually people from Ely don't have a problem repping their team. It's not mandatory, but if you are a part of ELY, I.D. yourself, or give me a call so that we can try to figure out a solution to the problem "YOU" are having. Best of luck to Yung Crew and Long Beach, but the Clan will continue to go to ATL and play in their non-USFTL event, and could care less about making an excuse that somebody was trying to start a fight - cut it out! RayT is a good friend of mine and has never had a reason to lie about anything either. Like I stated earlier, give me a call and lend a hand just like all of our DMV comrads do. Don't just talk about it - be about it! BIGAIRRJOE if you do want to come to the Beach, the Clan has a nice purple jersey your size - I'm sure!

I just don't think this going back and forth like we did last year gets us anywhere. That's all I am saying I even asked the person taking shots at Ray T to relax cause he is not helping the situation.
George I have tried to call you and it always goes to your voicemail. I have been in this league long enough to know you are a busy man and you get back when you can if you can. And let's not play like nothing happen. I was at the league after GDL last year and heard your guys talk about what they were trying to do at the other tournament. That is not even my issue that's just what the man said. He didn't say he knew you but you know as well as I know several members of the Clan went over to the other tournament and there was almost a fight between them and Long Beach. That is fact.
This is exactly why no one wants to have a real conversation about it because you take it personal and make it about bashing you or Ely. This is about flag football man. We all know that if we go against what the inner circle of Ely wants to go down you get blasted. I just want some real conversation out in the open instead of people whispering in the background. People keep asking the question and the only answer is that its about the DMV. If it is only about the DMV why have we been going back and forth about who was playing in what tournament? George if you believe I am the only one that is asking this question your head is in the sand. I have not said one negative thing about you or GDL. NOT ONE THING. I am just asking a logical question that I have also heard other people talk about at the Cup this weekend.

| You know, it's amazing, folks, how some of us take bits and pieces of information and make assumptions, but when George, an Ely supporter, or myself does so, it's called "back-and-forth" or "negative"! I guess we'll never know why such is the case.
If I may, GDL was put together for DMV teams who frequented the AFTFL tourney in VA Beach. The AFTLF tourney lost its luster and we were ASKED by DMV teams to bring a tournament back to VA Beach in JUNE! LBC said last year they were not playing GDL b/c they wanted to support All-Met. A year later (and three losses in last year's tourney), they're coming back East to play Yung Crew? What relationship has now developed between LBC and YC???? The U!
So, when we DEFEND our product, please stop accussing us of going back-and-forth, or taking things personal. We don't have much to say about folks who are not coming to GDL except for safe travels to ALL to the VA Tidewater area the last weekend in June!
Last year you asked for better fields (check), more advanced notice of publicizing the tourney (check), better host hotels (check), better outreach to out of region teams (check), better cash payouts (check) and to communicate the information clearly and in a timely manner (check). GDL info has been posted since March this year. So last year's excuses won't work for this year's event. You'll have to find new ones.
And, please explain to me what George has to do with anyone from his team coming to fight LBC? In my assessment, that's a POOR EXCUSE for not playing in someone's tourney. But getting made a fool out of (several times over) is grounds for future support??? It's hard to pass up free rooms and flights, but with $2,000 (GDL 1st Place Cash Payout in PRO Division), you can book the same number of rooms and flights, I'm certain! Oh, that's right, credits are bond! LOLOL!

| I'm certain everyone can see who has a vested interest in the MCFFU. It's kinda funny how a person can post a response on this, and any other board claiming he has inside info on, or about a team that he isn't a part of while attempting to dispute the words coming straight from said team. Pure comedy!
Anyway, I will address a few issues here... 1st of all we don't have a coach! Our brand of football isn't as structured as the teams in the DMV area. 2nd, we haven't had a real practice in 10 years, and our teams standing joke is that we practice during league games, and day 1 of any tournament we play in. So for "ELY ELY" to say there were 20 guys at a Long Beach practice is HILARIOUS!!! As a matter of fact, I don't think we have 20 core guys to begin with! LOL!!!
He's right about one thing, I don't speak for my team, because Long Beach doesn't have a spokesperson. Not me, not Neil, not ANYONE!
I don't know what impostors will be taking the field under the LBC flag in Virginia, but I can say with 100% certainty that it won't be the same team that won the MCFFU title in Las Vegas this year. That means ZERO starters on offense, and all but 1 starter on defense will be playing anywhere next month. I know that more than a few groups have expressed interest in putting together a "West Coast Allstars" team to make the trip, and maybe thats what they were able to do... BUT BY NO MEANS WILL THAT BE MY LONG BEACH TEAM!!!
I have seen, and played against plenty of teams that frequent the MCFFU tournaments, and had the opportunity to attend an Ely league sunday afternoon at Ballou H.S. in D.C. No disrepect to any teams out there, but the better OVERALL competition top to bottom was in the Ely league. Once again this is from my own observation, and in my opinion that's where we will get the best games for our style of play. The good brutha's that showed me luv when I showed up unannounced, know that I shook their hands, and looked then dead in the eyes when I gave them my word that our REAL TEAM wants to play where all the top teams are. More than likely that wouldn't happen until Orlando next year.
Lastly, I alway post my name when I respond, as well as any of my team-mates. With that said, I will be more than happy to answer any questions anyone may have when it comes to Long Beach... and once again I don't run the team, and NO 1 ELSE DOES EITHER, but I can give you the real deal on our participation.

| Like I said, I can only speak on the places I have been, and the teams I've seen personally. You're right I haven't been to your league, so I can't say what the games look like out there, good or bad. That's not my issue here, the issue is someone speaking on my team that isn't a part of my team.
As of up to the minute info, there are 3 guys from Long Beach planning to go, and 1 of them is a starter... The rest are guys from our league thrown in as spam...

How did I talk bad about GDL? I stated facts on what was shared with me. This is exactly why when people disagree with the Ely inner circle they do it in their own little world. You can not have a real conversation without anyone feeling like it's a personal attack. Please point out where I attacked GDL on any of my post. I have stated some facts and asked one main question.
The Coleman clan incident last year I did not say how many people were involved I honestly don't care if it was one or ten. I was not there and it was not my team. I simply shared with you what the LB Coach said (I am sorry apparently there is no coach). What is the purpose of taking a shot at me for relaying what he told me over the phone? You cats fail to listen and jump the gun on anything that doesn't fall in line with what is said. How does George have anything to do with it? No one thinks George sent his team over there but at the same time those guys from the Clan represented Ely and George. If that doesn't make common sense I don't know what to tell you.
As far as a relationship with Yung Crew and LB I never said they had one and I never heard those team members say they had any relationship. What I did hear from them is that they had an opportunity to play new competition and they went with it. There was no hate or hard feelings. We are the only ones over here talking this political BS and they concentrating on playing ball against new comp.
Airjoe you have no credibility with me. We bought into your talk last year and not only did your team not come run with us like you said you didn't show up at all. I at least have respect for those guys on your team that decided they wanted to come get some run in. Team first should be most important. You just said they were not coming to either tournament earlier this week now you changed your story again. You are a joke.
One of these days we are going to get off our damn high horse and realize we are not the only ones that play this game and play it well. If our play in the Cup is not a good indicator where we are I don't know what is. My personal opinion is that because all we do all year is play each other the few times we see other teams we havent bust a grape in the last 2 years. The last few years we been talking about playing new comp all of a sudden it doesn't matter? If that is the case lets just play league ball year round.

Let's examine a few issues shall we? 1st, I was TRUE TO MY WORD last year when I said that I personally wasn't interested in playing in what I believed to be 1 half of a potentially huge tournament. I clealy said that I wouldn't be making the trip to play in either of 2 seperate tournaments, and since you didn't see me there, I certainly spoke the truth! 2nd, I stand by my statement from earlier this week when I said that THE REAL TEAM FROM LONG BEACH THAT WON THE MCFFU EVENT IN LAS VEGAS WILL NOT BE IN VIRGINIA IN JUNE! The ENTIRE OFFENSE, and as of up to the minute info from me ACTUALLY SPEAKING TO MY TEAM-MATES, all but 2 starters on defense have decided not to attend either event.
A couple of my team-mates have decided to makes some calls in an effort to field a team to play vs Yung Crew, and enter the MCFFU tournament as well, and they have my full support to do as they please because remember we don't have any 1 person that runs our team, we are all grown ass men and can do as we please. But in no way, shape, or form, will that be my REAL TEAM FORM THE LBC! If either Neil, the MCFFU, or ANYONE else is telling Yung Crew, or whoever will listen to that B/S that the same team that has been winning all the MCFFU events will be the same team in Virginia in June, THAT'S A FLAT OUT LIE!
Since you have so much inside info on MY TEAM, ask your source to give you a list of names from LBC that are playing in your tournament. I can certainly furnish you with a list of names that WON'T BE THERE!!!

| Hilarious. We are a month out. My goal was not to start the same crap that went on last year. I still have not said one negative thing about GDL but since I am not falling in line with the master plan I have to be someone from the MCFFU. I have not promoted the MCFFU at all and I have not said one thing about them. I simply asked why are we wasting our time playing each other again. That is the only question I have had from the start. We spent a great deal of time at the start hearing that we would have all these out of town teams playing with us and in my opinion based on the calls I made I don't see anyone playing in GDL but basically the same teams that played in the Cup.
For some reason I am being dragged into saying everything but that. I know damn well I am not the only one that is asking this question. I will be playing where ever my team say we are playing. Knowing my team we will be playing in GDL.
Airjoe you are funny. You have back tracked a couple of times in the last few days. You went from your team wont be playing in any tournament. Then said only one starter will play and now 2 starters will play. I am sure what ever team shows up it will be nothing like you said. It is very hard to travel from one coast to the other with your full regular squad. I don't think anyone here was expecting the exact same team to show up in VA. I honestly don't care if they change their name and make it a Cali All Star team. Guess what it is new competition for us and that's all I have been talking about. Everybody wants to put out smoke screens and make this about something else and all I want is for Ely teams to be able to play new good competition.
Fuck MCFFU. My concern is the Ely teams and if we will spend hard earned money to play each other or someone new. I am not interested in the snipers and the bs that goes on that has nothing to do with this issue.
