| Hi everyone, I have been on the phone this morning doing research on the AED Defibrillator. In the last week alone, the Port St-Lucie Civic Center had 2 different incidents where this device was used to save 2 men's lives.
I wanted to get your opinion as Cheer Moms and Dads, if you would be interested in making a donation towards the purchase of one of these device so we can have one at Ultimate.
I will get Bobby and Sherry's permission of course regarding the idea and maybe set up a donation jar at the front desk. The same device that is at the Civic Center runs around $1,200.
We have a couple of months before competition fees are due, maybe together as a team we can set a goal and make it happen. Please let me know what your thoughts are.
Thank You. Danielle

| HI Danielle, I think this is a wonderful idea! With all the families we have now, with just a small donation from each, we should be able to get close to what we would need. Keeping the kids/parents safe is always a priority!

| Great minds think a like. I was just reading the newspaper article about the basketball player who was saved by an AED and was thinking that would be a great idea for the gym. As a coach who spends three to four days a week at the gym I would be happy to be trained on how to use an AED. Great idea count me in.

| Awsome :) :) I figured if each Ultimate family donated $10.00, the device would be paid .. Yeepee !!! We could also hold a gym car wash to pay for extra pads and possibly a couple of Coaches could get certified .. Ty, as you said great minds think alike.. We truly are an ULTIMATE FAMILY !!! I knew I could count on you moms and dads.
Please place your donation in an envelope addressed: AED or write my name on in and drop in the payment box. Sherry will let me know when donations arrive.
We are one step closer in keeping our children and each other safer .
Thank you Sherry and Bobby for your support .

| We're in!!! The health and safety of our kids has to be our first priority and this is a wonderful idea. I do think that Tara (thanks for volunteering) AND several of the coaches should be trained. Nothing could possibly be worse than needing it, having it, and no one being able to use it. Perhaps we should add the cost of training to the equipment purchase price and that be our fund raising goal.

| Great thinking Danielle! I will be more than happy to donate! I work with the boys dad that had the heart attack at the civic center. He was only 20 years old! I think we need this at Ultimate!

| Karen,
I spoke to Cheryl this morning, Jessica Clinton's mother. Also the founder of the Jessica Clinton's MVP Foundation. She has offered to come and meet with all the Ultimate Parents to talk about the AED DEFIBRILLATOR. The model that she recommended is self explanatory. She said once you put the paddles on, them machine calculates and will do everything :) So that means that everyone will be able to use it. I am so excited with the amount of support and positive feedbacks. Thanks Againg.

| Danielle and all above,
yes great idea for the gym. But like you just mentioned these AED systems are set up so that anybody with or without rraining can use them. The system walks you through everything step by step and if a "shock" is not necessary the system will also notify you of that. I have used one successfully on a 64 year old gentleman. So I know how simple they are to use. Danielle thanks for a great idea.
